Excellent hotel, reception needs training

Upon arrival the receptionist was busy on the phone. Once finished he addresses me with : "yes?". I didn't answer, he repeats YES?! Then i reminded him that I am a guest and he is a receptionist and he goes three times "welcome to Munich". With all the understanding that he might just have received bad news by phone, it really seems some additional training would be needed for the reception staff. Otherwise, an excellent hotel, clean and well positioned.

Sijainti on loistava, hyvin lähellä päärautatieasemaa, jossa on kattavat u-bahn ja s-bahn-yhteydet. Sisään- ja uloskirjautuminen onnistui kätevästi. Olimme varanneet ns. 2 hengen huoneen (parisänky vuodesohva) 3 henkilölle, mutta erikseen piti hotellilla pyytää vuodevaatteita ja pyyhkeitä yhdelle meistä. Ne tuotiin pyynnöstä kuitenkin pian huoneeseemme ja myös vuodesohva oli pedattu. Huone oli viihtyisä ja perussiisti, tosin nurkista hieman pölyinen ja kaukosäädin oli pölyinen ja siinä oli pientä likaa. Ilmastointi oli huoneessa rikki, mutta sinne tuotiin erillinen ilmastointilaite (emme testanneet). Huoneen ikkunoissa oli pimennysverhot, ja ikkunat sai auki. Huoneemme oli sisäpihan puolella, mikä oli hyvä. Jonkin verran kuuluu ulkoa ääntä, mutta meitä ei 6. kerroksessa häirinnyt. Hotellissa on hissi. Huoneessa oli yksi ilmainen pullo kuplavettä, pikakahvia ja teetä. Huoneessa on talletuslokero. Huoneen jääkaappi on todella pieni, ja sinne mahtuu korkeudelta vain yksi juomapullo (muut laitettava kyljelleen). Sängyt ovat mukavat. Hotellin aamiaista emme testanneet, vaan söimme aina muualla (esim. Marienplatzin Rischart ja Englantilaisen puutarhan vieressä oleva Köningen 43 olivat hyviä). Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Huoneessa on tabletti, jonka kautta voi lukea lisätietoja hotellista ja tilata palveluita. Hotellia vastapäätä on youth hostel ja tämä hotellin sivukatu ei ole kovin hieno, mutta tuntui silti täysin turvalliselta ja oli rauhallinen.
