NH City Centre Hotel Amsterdam

This is my favorite hotel on my Euro Trip. They had a great room! It was very modern and clean. The bathroom had really great ammenities as well as soap that smells like Jolly Ranchers. Very great looking room, wish I had more time to enjoy in Amsterdam. Definately would recommend to others. Only down side is that it is a little further from shopping/red light and train station if you plan to walk.

[...] We were offered a discount rate for the delicious breakfast buffet if we paid up front. Great choice on our part! The Manager tried to get a room ready early for two tired guests. And less than two hours later, we did have our room keys. The hotel lobby extends through the building to doors leading to the Singel canal. Trams #1 and #5 are easily accessible as is a "shopping street." We found the staff (woman who cleaned the main floor bathroom, Sri in the Breakfast Room, and Pu Lim) to be very kind and helpful, such that we changed our plans and stayed 4 nights at the NH City Centre.

Ideal location for us in the centre yet still quiet 20 min walk to the station plenty of cafe's around, good base to explore Amsterdam.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, great location. You are next to all kinds of transport and 2 min walk to the shopping streets. You can even walk anywhere. The hotel street is quiet and the nearby cafes and bars are excellent. You are about 1 hour from the airport using train and tram. Very good choise!

This was our first visit to Amsterdam and took a long time to pick our hotel. After looking at various reviews we chose the NH City Centre Hotel even though it was a bit more expensive. We were not disappointed and felt we got good value for money bearing in mind we were in the centre of a capital city. The room was very clean and the facilities were excellent. The service of the reception staff was friendly and efficient as was the chambermaids who cleaned the rooms. The breakfast was as good as you would get anywhere with a mixture of 'continental' and 'English'. We would definitely return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone who is not travelling on a budget.

Great location. Staff was so friendly!!!! Helped me find locations of restaurants even though I had the incorrect name. Great budget room. Actually better than some of the hotels our friends were staying at for more money at 5 star hotels. Very happy!!!

Lovely hotel with super comfy beds, I had the best nights sleep! Shame the rooms were very small and were supposed to be centrally cooled but was unbearably hot since the weather was so hot. I liked the security features like key operated entrance at night and key operated lift. It was in a good central location close to main attractions like Leidesplein and Anne Frank's house. I would stay here again only if they had air-con.

The location was good,right on the canal. Walking distance to many sights. Lots of good resturants on the block and close to tram stops.
