Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, Antwerp

The rooms were exceptionally large for Europe. The staff was courteous and helpful. And it was just across the square from the train station. Honestly my only issue was that the coffee at breakfast was a little burnt (The rest of the breakfast was excellent). But considering there was a really nice coffee maker in the room, it didn't matter.

Our time in Antwerp was spent experiencing most all of the cultural offerings, people, and unique city adventures. We enjoy using public transport since one can gain such a better knowledge of the local residents. With the Astrid metro station directly below the hotel and with the incredibly beautiful Centraal railroad station next door, reaching out to the experiences of the complete area was simple and uncomplicated. The hotel itself is gorgeous, from the lobby on. The staff was most helpful, although not always the most friendly. We asked for a room in a quiet area and got exactly that. If you need an iron and board you must request that. The fitness room was far more than adequate, offering many devices which are pneumatically operated. Our perception is that the location, in general, is just a bit seedy and does not always give the impression of safety at night, but the comfort and location of the hotel makes up for for more than that. We would stay there again in the snap of fingers. We hated to leave after a six night stay.

Great location on exit from central station, clean, fresh modern hotel with nice staff

I stayed there for the second time. It is very nicely located close to the Central Station at a walking distance.

The service was very friendly and professional. The hotel room was very nice and facilities are very good. Restaurant is recommended as well.

The staff was very helpful from checking us in, to calling us a cab on a Saturday night, to suggesting a pub to watch Premier League action. We really loved Antwerp and the hotel was in a spectacular location to enjoy the city.

Very good hotel with central position and with very friendly stuff. Specially Bob on the reception. Very kind with good information about the city. I highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Location being so close to the railroad station was very convenient however some of the people that hang around the station are a little sketchy. We didn't have any problems and it was convenient for our other travels. The staff was very personable and helpful.
