Hotel Claris GL

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, dans un cadre aéré d'une grande propreté, le personnel présent juste quand il faut. Le coin terrasse est fabuleux: pour un moment de fraicheur dans la piscine ou boire un verre tard dans la nuit ainsi que les bons menus. J'ai adoré les oreillers moelleux!!! Cordialement

Let's start with the positives. Location. Great location if you're looking to be close to the action, but not on top of it.... Also ask for the private car service to the airport - less expensive and a very nice driver. Roof top is small, but a nice bar to end the evening. Good music, drinks and views. Now the negative. We were given a single room and booked a double. We were told there weren't any other options and that we had to wait two hours for the manager to come on before determining alternatives. Then, when the manager came on, we never even spoke to the manager, we worked again with someone at the front desk who basically went back to talk to the manager and relay information back-and-forth to me. Honestly, the manager should have come out. I had to pull up my reservation online to PROVE to them what I booked, otherwise they didn't believe me. Amazing. Then they gave us the only available room and it had a smell that set my allergies on fire. Something I'm sure to get rid of the smoking smell. You have to pay for Internet access every 24 hours. Some people are fine with that, just mentioning. We weren't familiar with Barcelona and the staff wasn't much help - no concierge to speak of to help with reservations, directions - anything. I was very disappointed with this supposed five star hotel. I typically don't write reviews, but couldn't hold back on this one. Look for somewhere else to stay.

Room was great, amenities as well. Rooftop pool and the bar very nice. Will come back!

A group of Wonderful and helpful people at this hotel. The hotel rooms are modern with bi-lingaul TV for English and other European languages. Lovely roof top pool and food and bar services. Overall a wonderful choice in Barcelona.

Location perfect Staff in reception were very friendly, in the bar not-so. The hotel is modern & very clean & very contemporary. The bedroom is impractical e.g. a big bath (not needed) instead of a walk-in shower (Which everybody wants). You could easily hurt yourself and very easily slip. The lighting over the bed is..confusing and the TV is on a side wall you cannot see and there are NO English channels. There's no Wi-Fi (unbelievable) without paying €50/Day (Yes per day!!!) There's a very scary ornament in the bedroom.

The Eixample neighborhood is without a doubt the best place to stay in Barcelona -- lovely shaded boulevards, beautiful buildings and great restaurants, and not as noisy and touristy as las Ramblas -- and the Claris is a wonderful place to enjoy it. The hotel is smaller, and perhaps a little less luxe, than most of the other five-star hotels in the neighborhood, but it's certainly fancy enough, and the price we got [...] was quite reasonable for such a luxurious hotel, making it something of a bargain. Our room was one of the few interior rooms, facing a nice courtyard, so it was very quiet, and it was pretty large and very well appointed. All of the staff were extremely friendly and recommended some great restaurants in the neighborhood.

This hotel is in a great location. It is close to shopping and the Diagonal subway station. The hotel is beautiful. The suite I stayed in was very spacious the bed was big and comfortable the living room was large and had everything I needed. The bathroom however was the best part, it was beautiful with a large bathtub/shower and marble everywhere (^__^)

Very Friendly welcome and staff. Food in roof top restaurant superb, atmosphere ok but very cold needs better insulation! Bedroom was clean, bed not the best sloped to middle! very minimalistic lacked luxury certainly not the best 5star i've stayed in. Television channels limited only news channel in english again would expect better choice of english channels/movie choice of a 5star. Also disappointed that Pool was empty guess out of season, but should state that that in hotel details. Very good location easily accessible to Metro. Nice area. Would definitely go back to Barcelona but probably wouldn't choose this particular hotel.

The hotel was great. The staff met all of our needs. The location could not be better.
