- Quiet, spacious and bright rooms in the historical heart of "Madrid of the Austrias", perfectly equipped with the most comfortable facilities. The rooms provide large double beds or two twin beds on request at the hotel and subject to availability.All of the rooms conserve the classically inspired decoration of the Palace of the Duke of Granada de Ega, the ancient building which now houses the hotel. Hyvä, asiallinen hotelli Madridin keskustassa lähellä ostoskatuja, Mercado de San Miguelia, Tapas-baarien keskittymää, ostoskatu Gran Viaa, Royal Palacea ja puistoja. Olimme oikein tyytyväisiä vietettyämme 5 yötä vuoden vaihtuessa vuoteen 2013.

Very Noisy
Nice hotel in a very good location close to many bars and so very noisy at night, at least the room I was in. Very noisy air conditioner also. Expensive for what it is.

Beste Lage
Die zentrale Lage des Hotels ist genial. 20 min. zu Fuss bis zum Museum Prado. Auch zum schoppen perfekt.

Lage top, Zimmer flop
Das Hotel ist mitten in Madrid und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Angestellte waren ausnahmslos freundlich und hilfsbereit. Grosser Minuspunkt ist das uralte, kleine Zimmer. Die Einrichtungen sind so alt, dass sie selbst wenn alles sauber ist noch schmuddelig wirken. Wir hatten das Gefühl in einem Abstellraum untergebracht worden zu sein, haben uns dann ein teureres Zimmer zeigen lassen. Dies war der gleiche alte Stil (kein Vergleich zu den Bildern im Internet!) aber sehr gross. Uns war der Aufpreis zuviel, da wir sowieso nur zum Schlafen ins Hotel kamen.

great location
After staying in 3 star hotels along the coast of Spain which were very modern we were disappointed with this four star rating basically because the hotel seemed a bit worn. That being said, the room was quiet, clean, the shower was wonderful and the location was prime. It was close to shopping, restaurants, and most of the sights you would want to visit. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I would probably stay there again because it suited our needs.

Great Break
We had a great stay in the Tryp Ambassador. Hotel spotless through out and the attention to detail was second to none, flowers in reception just one example. Hotel is close to centre but away form the busy streets so it has the best of both. Breakfast in the hotel was beautiful. Staff very helpful and obliging. Madrid is a beautiful place to visit and this hotel made our stay excellent. 5 nights away felt like 10.

Perfect in everyway!,
This hotel is everything it says it is. From entering when you arrive, to the personnel at the desk, who are so willing to help. The "standard" room was awesome, so imagine how the upgrades are. They upsold us the breakfast the following day for a discount. Breakfast was Awesome, we couldn't have eaten anywhere else for the price. Location was perfect. Thank you for a fabulous stay. :) we will see you again.

Could not have been better for the value. only quirk' a randomly noisy AC.It could probably have been repaired but we had no time to take care of it.
