The Belvedere Hotel Parnell Square

The mattress on my bed was a big hollow in the middle. It should have been replaced years ago. Room was too small to have a chair in, so t.v. had to be watched from bed. Location was good for access to O'Connell St., but not for South of the Liffey locations.

I liked the fact that the staff from the front desk to housekeeping were helpful and friendly. They were very accomodationg since my sister and I got there early in the morning and there was no room available at that time but within an hour of being there they prepared a room for us and it was great since it was on the ground floor towards the back so it was quiet. The room was very clean and the space was good as well. The location was fantastic, O'Connell st was just two minutes away and it was great to take the tour buses and shop. This was our 1st time in Ireland and we will be back and we will consider this hotel to stay again.

We stayed in Dublin for the week were were there. The Hotel was a great location, everything was within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.

the rooms were adequate but the beds were very lumpy! new mattresses are needed. also, the website advertised "breakfast included" but it wasn't so we were in for a surprise at check-out. this hotel is very convenient to center dublin but on the "local" side of the river - which was quite enjoyable.

The hotel wasn't to bad, but it was not very well located. Everything to do or check out in Dublin is about a 20 minute walk south from the hotel. They have free wi-fi in the lobby, but if your computer is not working they have a computer you can use in the lobby for 1 euro per 10 minutes. Although there is a nice cheap internet cafe down the block on O'Connell Street (1 euro an hour with no minimum). In short; Breakfast is about 10 euro every morning, the hotel was fairly clean, most of the staff were friendly and helpful while some were not, they do not have a pick-up from the airport, and there is a discount on overnight parking down the street at Clery's,

I almost feel bad for giving it 3 stars, since I had an excellent time there. However, it is a former Comfort Inn, so don't expect the Mariott. Not the cleanest place in the world, but not to the point of being disgusting. The staff is amazing though. We had a leak in the room from a pipe that had probably burst so we politely brought up the issue. The desk attendant immediately (literally, within 2 minutes) moved us to another room and apologized a million times and offered us complimentary meals, although we hadn't planned on making a big deal out of it. The rooms may be small, but the location is just great off of O'Connel.

The hotel was a great price and had a perfect location for O'Connell Street in Dublin. The room was quite dated with many cosmetic issues (holes in walls, etc.) and the floors were quite noisy in the hallway. Free Wi-Fi on the first floor only was acceptable and the breakfast was average. We were able to check-in very early (9am) and they held our bags for us after check-out (until 5pm). Overall for the price and location it was great!

The hotel staff were friendly - we pretty much just slept there. There was, though, a pub attached to the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel had wifi, but it was only accessible in the lobby (i.e. not in our room). Also, we needed to keep the keycard in a slot in order for the electricity in the room to work. So we couldn't charge our iPods or anything while we went out in Dublin. Lastly, the T.V. didn't work. All that aside, I slept very well, and the hotel was well-situated. I would recommend it to other travelers, unless they know of a particular hotel with better amenities.

The staff was nice, the room was fairly big by Ireland hotel standards, and the bathroom was very nice. The beds were a bit older and lumpy. The breakfast, which costs extra, was fantastic! If you don't mind walking, the hotel was in a good location. The only drawback is that it is across the street from a really seedy hotel, and we heard all the fights and drunken revelry.
