City Continental Kensington London

Hienolla paikalla sijaitseva hotelli. Julkisivua kun katsoo voisi luulla viiden tähden hotelliksi. Metroasema löytyy läheltä ja muutenkin sijaitsee viihtyisällä alueella. Huone oli pieni, mutta siisti ja siivottiin joka päivä. Hotelli oli hieman vanhanaikainen. Aamupala oli aika heikko (paahtoleipää, marmelaadia, muroja ja munia). Henkilökunta oli asiallista ja kohtelijaita. Netti oli kallis 5 puntaa/2h.

Da wir keine Extrawünsche angaben, haben wir die 2 schlechtestens ausgerüstete Zimmer (5 Personen) erhalten. Es gab keine Heizung, keine Leselampe, keine WC-Bürste und v. a. kein Platz, keine Bewegungsfreiheit. Auch das Frühstück war sehr armselig, wir mussten oft auf saubere Tassen, Besteck, Butter, etc. warten. Wegen der fehlenden Heizung mussten wir während 5 Nächte 3x das Zimmer wechselnd. Insgesamt war für uns das Hotel eine riesige Enttäuschung. Dies alles war auch aus dem Grund sehr unangenehm, weil diese Reise ein Weihnachtsgeschenk für die Familie war, da meine betagte Eltern unbedingt London sehen wollten. Sie waren über unsere Unterkunft schockiert!

The single rooms in this hotel are the smallest I've ever seen and quite cold. Breakfast is very average but at least its included in the price. The location is pretty good with the tube station about 400 yards away and shops, restaurants and pubs very close by.

was really cheap to stay, looked modern, but many drawbacks: phone in the room was not working, slow internet, no iron (have to cary myself from reception and back with iron board), some plastic blanket under the sheets i guess to preserve the bed - no comfort. on other hand it looked pretty modern, nice shower, everything new.

This was a last minute booking for me, and it served its purpose. The hotel is undergoing renovations and that was an issue for me. I don't think they should have placed my room in the area where they were recarpeting and painting. I had voiced my concern to one of the male staff members and he just brushed it off. It was close to the tube and that was nice. Given what I know now, I would not have booked at this location.

lage des hotels ist gut, sind nur ca. 2 minuten bis zur u-bahn. das fenster ließ sich nicht ganz schließen, ein spalt von ca. 2 zentimeter unten ließ die frische luft herein und das bei minus 1 grad, keine möglichkeit zu heizen, usw. lärm der anderen hotelbewohner ist nachts hörbar.

Near the tube station and a great selection of upscale hindi, thai and chinese restaurants

So many steps and so many different levels; almost like a maze. Great for those who travel lightly. The staff were awersome; they were very accommodating. The first room we got had no heat; its heater wasn't working, so we moved to another room that seemed to have been recently remodeled. The heater worked, but quit on us on our third night. Had to use a space heater instead. Televisions in the two rooms didn't work at all. No chair(s) in a somewhat small room (that has a double bed and a single bed). More surprising was the complimentary breakfast which wasn't stated in the description, and that was much appreciated. The hotel is within a walking distance to various restaurants, bus stops, and train station. All in all we enjoyed our experience at the hotel. The price was decent for a four-night stay.

Hôtel très bien situé à 7mn du métro, possibilité de différentes restaurations à proximité. Assez jolies chambre et salle de bain, (mieux que sur les photos) pas très grand mais suffisant. Le design de la réception est sans plus, la salle du petit déjeuner est petite et nous sommes assez serrés, petit déjeuner classique sans plus et pas anglais.

This is a nice hotel although the carpet is a little threadbare. The location to the tube is fantastic. Right around the corner from the Earl's Court station. Plenty of restaraunts in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
