Good overnighter.

I booked 2 king size rooms for myself and friends . I had read some reviews and some had mentioned about recently renovated rooms. Our room no. 202 was not one of these and although very spacious had a tired look about it with old style furniture. Our 'Kingsize' bed which we had paid extra for appeared to be a kingsize mattress on top of a double divan. The bathroom was clean but basic and had a very strange separate shower with integrated seat. However we spent minimal time in the room so didn't really matter. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful, offering to order a taxi for us for the evening. We didn't eat in the hotel as there was so much choice in town. We did drive into the town centre but parking was very expensive . There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and this takes about 5 minutes to town. Overall I was pleased with the location of the hotel for our needs but a little disappointed with the room. Top marks go to the staff .
