Good Basic Hotel, Isolated Location

Attended small convention/conference. Staff is helpful, but minor problems with check-in. Hotel did not have payment record from [...]. On check-out received bill for hotel room. But staff was quick to correct once I insisted the room had been paid for as part of package. Hotel is isolated - not with walking distance of any thing. Therefore you have to buy their expensive breakfast buffet at 10 or 15 pounds. On some mornings, buffet food was horribly overcooked due to heat lamps, and coffee machines out of milk for coffee mixtures.The dining room staff tried their best to resolve problems as quickly as possible. When asked, they did prepare fresh foods.The lunch and dinner menus are simple but quite good. And many items offer a very good price. Like an hotel, drinks are over priced - again captive audience - faces high bar prices.Meetings rooms are quite nice. The hotel is next to a beautiful swan santuary. The hotel grounds are quite nice. Great health club with pool. Hotel guests can take free exercise, aquatic classes.

If arriving at Heathrow and wanting to travel to Holiday Inn Shepperton - shop for cabs. Persons attending our convention paid anywhere from 25 to 59 pounds to get to the hotel from Heathrow airport.

Fair Hotel

Generally the facility is nice,clean and in good repair. It is about 15 miles from the airport. Transportation is very Very expensive. Food is Good, not great, and again very expensive. Staff are all great. Surroundings are very nice. Beds are not very comfortable. My suggestion if you are touring london, pick a more convienient location.
