Rainers Hotel Vienna

Matkalla 6/12 .Hotellin sijainti n.4km "inner stadista". Liikkumminen yleisillä kulkuneuvoilla helppoa; 250m päässä ratikka-asema (josta linja 1:llä keskustaan muutamien minuuttien välein), hotellin vieressä linja-autopysäkki (josta linja 14 A joko keskustan suuntaan tai Keplerplatzin metroasemalle, joka on n1km päässä hotellista). Metrolla U1 (Keplerplazin asemalta) keskustaan. Kannattaa ostaa wochenkarte 15 € tai Wien karte 19 €. Näillä korteilla voi kulkea kaikissa julkisissa kulkuneuvoissa kaupungilla. Hotellin ympäristö ei ole mairitteleva, mutta hotelli on sisältä siisti ja moderni. Premium huoneet ovat samankokoisia ja laatuisia kuin suomalaisissa hotelleissa. Huoneiden ilmastointi toimi hyvin kun ulkona oli 25+. Aamupala erittäin hyvä ja vähintään yhtä laaja kuin suomalaisten ketjujen hotelleissa. Henkilökunta auttavainen ja vastaanotossa Englannilla pärjäsi hyvin.

Chambre très chaude. La clim ne soufflait pas d'air froid et fesait un de ces vacarme! Courage pour bien s'endormir! J'ai du dormir fenetre ouverte en plein mois de mai pour avoir un peu d'air frais. En même temps, faut avouer que la qualité est correcte pour le prix. PS: j'ai oublié mes chemises (valeur 300€) à la reception et quand j'y suis retourné, la réponse a été: nous n'avons rien retrouvé, desolé!

The hotel was very clean. A walking distance to their metro that allowed us to get very fast to the touristic part of the city. Parking was available. We would consider staying there again if we go to Vienna in future,

I have been travelling to and from Vienna on university business for the last forty years, so I have tried many hotels. In the past, I have generally stayed close to the center of town, but as a result the city noise and lack of air conditioning were not usually condusive to a good night's sleep. The Rainer hotel is a twenty-five minute walk away from the city center, so most of the time I took the street car. (The combined/subway/street car station is a few blocks away.) The signs in the station are a bit confusing, so coming from the airport by S-bahn requires some patience. The Rainer hotel is very clean and deserves its four-star rating. The room, though small, was very comfortable and I was pleased that the sheets and all of the towels were replaced every day. The room was wonderfully QUIET and the air conditioning worked well, Now for the FINE PRINT. Unlike most Viennese hotels, this one does NOT INCLUDE BREAKFAST. If you want the buffet, you will either have upgrade your room or pay an additional 20 Euros (Ouch, $30!). There is an internet receptacle in the room, but YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE INTERNET. There are, however, two computers in the lobby that you can use free-of-charge. The restaurant and bar are EXCELLENT but not cheap! Finally, the hotel STAFF IS EXCELLENT.

Ideale Unterkunft für unseren Kurztrip im Rahmen eines Konzertbesuches. Unaufdringliches Personal, positive Überraschung war das wirklich reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffett. Ruhige Zimmer, sehr sauber. Allein die Minibar war ungekühlt, für uns (Rotweintrinker) aber irrelevant.

Great hotel with excellent breakfast buffet. Despite it being a little way out of Vienna, there was quick and easy transport into the centre. The only drawback was that we didn't find any restaurants in the immediate vicinity although there was one at the Hotel itself, (which we didn't try as it was rather expensive). However, there was plenty of choice of restaurants in town.

Very considerate; pleasant experience.
