Mercure Bologna Centro

Hotel is steps from train station. When traveling alone and with heavy luggage this is a great bet. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Style of room is a bit outdated and the "king-size" bed was really two twin beds pushed together which was quite odd. Although some staff of the hotel spoke English, I called the "information" line from my room and could not get any information in English. This is not meant to seem "all about being American", it just would have been nice to be directed to someone who could help me. Price seemed a bit high compared to friends who were also staying in Bologna but who booked from the EU. All-in-all the location made up for the few oddities.

Room was small and plain but was clean, comfortable and quiet.

We walked out of the train station and there was our hotel! We could walk to the center of the city, and to a very good restaurant.

We were only there for one night but it was a great location near the train station and a short walk to the center of town.

It was very close to the train station. Very friendly staff. I would recommend the hotel if you want to be close to public transportation!

Solid business hotel, perfect location. Negative - there was a huge light just outside of my room.

We were carrying a fair amount of luggage and traveling by train, so the Mercure was perfect for us - it's right there when you walk out of the train station. It's a reasonable walk to the city centre (10 mins, maybe), and for a European hotel, it was spacious and a nice surprise.

Arriving at the train station I was glad the hotel was across the street! It is literally right around the corner from shops and a brief walk to historical sites. The staff was helpful and the room was fine. As a student here in Italy I do not have a lot of money. This was a much needed break from school and staying in a hotel with a bath tub was a real treat! I have been here 3 months and have soaked in a tub 2 other times. Overall my experience at the hotel was great.

まずは値段相応のホテルと言えます。 駅を出たら目の前がホテルです。立地は最高で、部屋もいいのですがネットはまったく使えません。 客層がいいのか、夜にフロントで夜食やビールを売っている場所を聞いても「スーパーは閉まっている、バルで飲むしかないんじゃないか」と言われてしまいましたが、一本西の通りにアラブ系や中国系の店があります。 気になったのは荷物の預かりです。フロントから見えないかなり離れた荷物室に勝手に置いてきてという感じで、セキュリティが不安です。チェーンをかけたほうがいいかもしれません。

The good: great location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, spotless bathroom; the could be better: the bed was old, uneven and needed to be replaced; I was in a room facing the train station and morning sun - it never got completely dark. The room needs blackout drapes. I would stay here again but ask for a room on the back side of the building.
