Marcella Royal Hotel Rome

We enjoyed our stay here. When we got there, they didn't have our reservation because for some reason, it wasn't sent over when we booked it online but it was resolved quickly. Our room was clean and cozy and the breakfast on the hotel rooftop was nice. The location wasn't the closest to the sites but there is a nearby bus stop.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten können durchaus auch zu Fuß erreicht werden. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber, Bad/WC ebenso. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen war eine Dame von 4 ausgesprochen netten und zuvorkommenden Hotelmitarbeiter(Inne)n, welche sich weigerte, ein Taxi vorzubestellen. Ansonsten haben wir nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht.

The hotel is lovely, roof garden a great selling point. The room was clean and comfortable, average size. The front staff were not that friendly, they gave the immpression that we were bothering them everytime we asked a question or needed anything. The maid and porter were really nice. The hotel is local to alot of the main attractions. A big tip, use the bus it's easy to figure out. Go to Termini bus terminal near by you can catch different buses to alot of the main attractions and it will work out alot cheaper than taking a cab.

The Marcella staff is welcoming and helpful, particularly [...] at the front desk/concierge station. The rooms are beautiful and a solid value for expensive Rome. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop garden--beautiful flowers, great, friendly service ([...]) and wonderful food and drinks. I heartily recommend the Marcella to travelers looking for a first class, refined but relaxed hotel experience without the outrageous expense of the more well-known Roma hotels.

This was a pretty ordinary hotel. The receptionist was chaotic and a little rude but the rest of the staff were fine. Room and breakfast were acceptable and the location was good.

Excellent, quiet location in the embassy district. Excellent rooms and spectacular rooftop breakfast area.

Pleasant hotel but away from buzz of Roman life and not well served by public transport. No Gym. Breakfast is very basic served until 10.00, smoking is permitted (i.e. unpleasant for non-smokers) and the room terrace is nowhere as nice as on the picture. The fact that we could have only one key for the room was difficult to manage as we were not necessarily doing things at the same time

The front desk hotel staff were very friendly and spoke english well, even had a sense of humor. The rooms were Ok, very small, with a shower that I don't think a heavy person would even be able to get into. I booked as a 4 star, but I would not rate it that way - maybe a 3.

Location was great, staff was accommodating, hotel was clean and neat, beautiful roof garden overlooking the city, good breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We would stay again if and when we return to Rome.
