Zara Hotel Rome

Good Location. Walking distance to Roma Termini and everything else. Breakfast needs improvement but for the price, if you intend to visit the city and not stay in your room all day, then this hotel works for you.

The room was very small. The air conditioner did not work properly and it was very hot. The location was great. The rooms did not seem very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay with a great location this would be it but it needs to imporve in service and amenities.

Das Hotel Zara liegt sehr zentral, spanische Treppe, Trevibrunnen und Kolosseum, sowie die anderen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Bushaltestelle und Supermarkt sind um die Ecke. Die Zimmer zum Hof sind für Rom sehr ruhig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Zimmer wurde jedoch 8 Tage nicht gereinigt, nur die Handtücher gewechselt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis durch die hervorragende Lage gut.

Good location/ price makes it an acceptable option if you plant to be out of the room all day. Shower curtains are moldy and dingy. Very cramped room. AC in and out. Staff seemed aloof and disinterested. And no visitors in my room - felt like a half-way house!

Good value for money, good location, average breakfast with mainly sweet options, hot chocolate was not hot but warm, machine coffee tasteless

Good safe crash pad for a long weekend when only minimal accommodations are required. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast - lunch bar right next door. Easy walk from train station for connections and short walk to central sites.

I booked this hotel because it was slightly closer to the major sites and the photos looked really nice. I was expecting something equal to or slightly better than the other hotels I had on this trip because it was the most expensive. When my sister and I first walked into the lobby, I was impressed... that is until the receptionist wouldn't stop hitting on my sister, 30 years his junior. It was highly creepy. And it did annoy me that when I asked a question about the place, he ignored me. However, when we got to the room, our disappointment was truly realized. The room was cramped, had a tiny wall closet, and the worst was the shower. The shower wasn't really a shower, but more of a faucet about a drain in the floor with a curtain around it in the very, very small bathroom. It felt really dirty. And to add to the creepy factor we'd already gotten from the front desk, you have to turn in your room's card key everytime you leave to building. It was so "they knew who was in the rooms"... I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone. There are better and cheaper places a block away.

One thing that I specifically wanted was Internet and in the details of the hotel mentions that it had internet. NOPE! Frustrating spending 4 days there with NO internet to check email and connect with people. The room was small but quite. It was fairly clean but the floor was dirty. The hotel staff were helpful to some extent when asked but only offered greetings when specifically talked to. The location isn't bad as it was half way between the train station and some of the major sites.

They had shut the air conditioning off for the season in Sept. (not advertised) and the first 3 nights were unusually warm which means we had to leave the windows open just above Rome traffic. Had to prop the door open to almost no wind so it took until about 2 am to be cool enough to sleep. Got used to the traffic noise. I would not advise using them if you find there is no a/c working (they had removed controls). Excellent breakfasts, but next visit we use someone different
