- Dong Fang Hotel was built in 1961. It was a hotel particularly for senior government ministers and foreigners. The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences honours us with The International Five Star Diamond Award from 2006 to 2007. After over 40 years development, Dong Fang Hotel is still one of the best hotels in Guangzhou. The new renovation in 2006 combined historical cultural and modern concept to create a brand new image which is a luxury commercial five-star hotel. Dong Fang Hotel has the most convenient location. The Canton Fair Exhibition Centre is opposite to the hotel and the Central Railway Station is within 500 meters area. It is only a 30 minutes drive to the International Airport, 15-minute drive to the Guangzhou-Kowloon Express Station.

Hotel in the very high-level and location. But the housekeeping is very, very poor I even threatened them with the need for cleaning and personally contacted the Director is responsible to no avail There are also how much I hate the smell of the entrance gate and elevators Booking in at your site a day later came down hotel price by 10 dollars and this thing has troubled me

hotel has some rooms are 2 star which is very small and dirty in tower 2 and hotel try to give you those rooms first make sure when you book hotel you ask for tower 1 which has very nice rooms if you get room in tower one its really good room and there is mcdonals very close to hotel

I like to stay at this hotel because of its location to the handbag market and the surrounding facilities are good. not too many restaurants close by though and if you want you can catch the train.

Very big and old hotel with vary
Very big and old hotel with vary nice and big garden. Unfortunatelly swiming pool outside. Nice and large rooms with not new furnitures and tv. Half rooms with not good sight. Not very good breakfast. I was 3 times in the hotel and i think next time in China i'll go too.

Great location
Good location ( 100 mtr from subway ). Breakfast is OK. Staff is verry friendly. Nice pool...but it was bad weather so we could not use it. Nearby China hotel where you can eat at the 5th floor...magnificent restaurant for western people...but verry expensive so watch out what you order :-)

Take subway Yeuxi ( in front of China hotel ) for 2 stops. Get out the subway and turn right get across the street. After 250 mts you will wlak on beiing road...a lot of shops, restaurants etc.
