Hotel Canton Guangzhou

I had agood experience to stay GuangZhow in this hotel. Room is big and Location is next to shopping center of Heart of GuanfZhow city. I certainly recommend my friends to stay this hotel.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel. The location is great for shopping. The hotel facility looks new and modernized. Room is clean and large. The reception people are polite and well educated. The most attractive point is that the location is on the most famous street "Beijing Road", there are a lot of shops and restaurants close to the hotel, so that I could shop until every late of night ( 10:30 pm). I certainly recommend this hotel to others. The price is good also. Minor issue is that the address of hotel is called " Beijing road", new taxi drivers did not like to drive to the location since they think that "Beijing road " is for walk only and is not permitted for any motor vehicles. In fact, the driver needs to drive to "Yuehua road" to approach the other side door of the hotel. Also checking-in speed per person is relatively slow.

Smoking is still a big problem, non-smoking room on smoking floor and non-smoking floor with smoke-soaked carpet in the room. Basically, the hotel did not find an effective way to control smoking problems for guests who requested non-smoking rooms. You just have to put up with a smoking environment with hall ways that are poorly lit, and in-adequate venting and air-conditioning. Breakfasts were better during Canton Fair days, virtually inedible on an off-day. Massage service is good enough but facility condition and hygiene are disappointing. Fitness center opens too late and closes too early with only 2 working machines. Too many people stood around putting up a show while few able to resolve guest problems, leaving several frustrated and shouting guests at the front desk. A Western manager is needed to help revamp this large hotel in a nice location. The local trying staff is not coming through to get things up to par. It is still a very local hotel. Business room with wooden floor is tolerable for a short stay.

The stay overall was good and the hotel was in close proximity to shopping and restaurants. One problem which has not been corrected yet. I was billed twice for a one night stay and the hotel told me that one bill was canceled but this has still not been done. I expect to have some trouble with this!!! Not very efficient hotel staff!

Very good value if you wanted a hotel in the Yuexiu area.

Hard to get a better location

reasonable price with very convenient location. Clean and nice.

広州での常宿。　特別快適と言うわけでもないが北京路の北端にあり地下鉄にもそれほど遠くなく広州駅にも東駅にも出やすく僕にとっては行動しやすい場所。　従業員の対応は良いし美人が多いような気がする。　

Hotel standard and location is good, near to the Beijing road pedestrian shopping belt. Nothing bad to comment on but would like to offer a suggestion to relocate the main reception/lobby to the YueHua entrance instead of the current one which is not very conducive for a hotel entrance as you have to walk up a fairly steep slope with your luggage. Most taxis stop at the bottom of the slope which is manned by a security barrier. Alteernatively, do something to renovate the current entrance to make it more welcoming to guest who arrive in taxis.

Very comfortable and good value all round. However, hard to find... especially from the directions on this site: exit E at that station does not exist, or maybe it does but there's no signage, swallowed by the sardine shopping arcade. Breakfast is, apparently, part of the deal but you have to ask - they didn't tell me about it and i missed it.
