Travellers looking for a luxurious haven for their Malaysian getaway find suitable base at Tanjong Jara Resort Dungun. Vacationers can avail of rejuvenating treatments at Spa Village Tanjong Jara on site or tee off at Dungun Golf & Country Club close by. The resort can also arrange for activities like snorkelling, trekking through the jungle, hiking and picnicking by the waterfall or having a half-day river cruise.
General

Tanjong Jara Resort Dungun boasts beautiful outdoor venues and conference hall ideal for business and social events. The resort also features swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness centre and gift shop and boutique.



Location

Set on Dungun Beach, Tanjong Jara Resort is on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Holidaymakers can enjoy more beach recreations at the beaches of Tanjung Jara and Rantau Abang, home to the leatherback sea turtles.

Guests at Resort Tanjong Jara can savour local cuisine at Di Atas Sungei or indulge in Asian and Western fares at Nelayan. Enjoy cocktails at Teratai Terrace.

Bumbung rooms are situated above the Serambi Rooms and are similar in size and furnishings, excluding private terraces where the windows open out to a magnificent view of the ocean and gardens.
Serambi Room
Situated on the ground floor of two-storey buildings, features a spacious indoor bathroom with two vanity units, separate bath and shower facilities. A partially covered verandah overlooks the tropical gardens and is perfect for a private barbeque dinner.
Anjung Room
Single-storey beach front rooms. Each room is furnished with a king-size bed, as well as a sofa bed. A symmetrical sunken outdoor bath sits in its own private garden, and an indoor bathroom features two vanity units with a large indoor shower. The doors and windows open out to a canopied verandah looking over the beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and sea. An ideal location for a romantic honeymoon

Surrounded by lush tropical greenery, and shaded by a huge Ketapang tree, the restaurant opens for breakfast and dinner, and serves authentic Malaysian cuisine.
Teratai Terrace
Situated beside the Resort's free-form pool with a view of the South China Sea, Teratai Terrace serves cocktails in the evenings and offers private dining experiences. Enjoy dinner and drinks under a canopy of stars to the sweet strains of live gamelan music.
Nelayan
'Nelayan' in the Malay language means 'Fisherman'. Befitting the restaurant's name, seafood is the speciality of this outlet. Situated by the sea, the atmosphere at Nelayan is relaxed and informal. A variety of local and Western light meals are served for lunch and the Resort's own fishermen bring in the catch of the day for dinner. My friends and I can't rate Tanjung

My friends and I can't rate Tanjung Jara Resort high enough. It was fabulous in every way, from the room amenities, landscape, staff service, food to cultural activities. To top it all, the resort was extremely generous in accommodating our early arrival at 6am and late departure at 7pm - no extra charge for checking in early as well as upgrading us to a bigger beach front room and relocating us to another room after checking out at 12 noon so we had somewhere to keep our luggage and freshen up before leaving the resort. It's a trip that we will remember for a very long time. Thank you HotelClub for making Tanjong Jara affordable at the rate booked and thank you Tanjong Jara for making the resort the way it is. Keep up the good work!
