Arthotel Munich

We (a party of 2) were supposed to have a room with two beds that I reserved with Orbitz but they reserved for us a room with one single bed which could sleep only 1. We then had to pay a 75 Euro per night surcharge on top of what we paid to Orbitz to upgrade to a room with 2 single beds. Not only was the process very misleading, it was a really bad deal.

Great location; very short distance to Oktoberfest and main shopping areas. Major turnoff was lack of toiletries. We paid over $250 a night - not cheap. Breakfast was very good though and it's all you can eat.

The Arthotel in Munich provided a great place to stay for our 10 day trip to Munich. Its location of only a couple of blocks from the main train station, and only a 10-15 minute walk to Marianplatz made it a great location. We always felt safe walking to and from the hotel, whether early in the morning or late at night. The staff was pleasant, helpful and spoke English! The breakfast buffet was generous with a variety of items such as breads, fruits, cheeses, meats, cereal, eggs, juices and plenty of great coffee! The staff who worked in the dining area were pleasant. Do not expect a five-star type of room but our room was sufficient - clean, comfortable beds, spacious enough, had a small refrigerator, large bathroom, flat screen TV, hair dryer provided, etc. The room is not air conditioned but a swivel, four speed fan was provided and with the cool temperatures at night and the fan, we always felt pleasant. We would recommend the Arthotel and would stay there again if ever in Munich.
