Holiday Inn DUSSELDORF AIRPORT-RATINGEN

Leider lädt die Umgebung des Hotels NICHT zu einem abendlichen Spaziergang ein. Das Hotel sollte renoviert werden bzw. sollte man sich die Mühe machen, kleinere Schäden zu reparieren.Das Personal am Empfang würdigte uns leider bei der Abreise keinen Blickes und der kostenlose Shuttle zum Flughafen wurde nur auf Nachfrage erwähnt.Leider keine 4 Sterne verdient.

We need it a good hotel, for our last night near the airport, good location, but they charge everything parking, internet BE careful what room U are assigned, and the SIZE of your lugage, the second floor doesnt have elevator, we have to carry our lugage for about 10 steps up. Breakfast really expensive 18 euros / person, we had a car so we went near by to get breakfast.

I had an early flight out of Dusseldorf so I chose this hotel because of the free airport shuttle. The shuttle is in a weird place outside Terminal C but I called the hotel and they gave me directions. There's also a grocery store in that terminal so I stocked up on food and drink because I knew there was nothing good near the hotel. When you check in make sure you sign up for a shuttle time slot the next day. The room was comfortable and clean. Overall, perfect place to crash after long travels on my way home.

Hotel, room, and amenities were fine; night desk clerk, excellent; disappointed by the charge for the Internet.

Went to trade show at Dusseldorf Messe. No reasonable access to public transit was inconvenient. Internet access was very expensive.

Chose the hotel for price, location (near airport), and free shuttle service to and from the airport (even on week ends). I was not disappointed. Day staff was efficient, professional in appearance, courteous and knowledgeable - night staff a bit less so. Rooms were nice. Only complaint was noise of closing doors from other guest rooms - sometimes late at night. I was in transit in Dusseldorf. I was only concerned with getting some sleep between connecting flights, sightseeing was not my concern.

the staff was very friendly and since we arrived without our luggage, they were accommodating in giving us what we needed. Also we liked the shuttle service to and from the hotel to the airport.

Flawless service with the complementary shuttle. Very clean, comfortable and quiet room - close to nature and away from noisy highway. Beautiful grounds around hotel. Great place for rest. Receptionists - polite, expedient and helpful. I would use the service of the hotel without hesitation.

After an 11 hour parking lot on the highway, we were needless to say exhausted. We found that our rooms were upstairs,and my husband told her that we were to tired to walk up the stairs with all our luggage. She said that she had some rooms in the very back of the hotel(rooms 140 & 141),we did not know they were that far in the back. The cover on the bed was the size for one person,we requested an additional, and we had another one when we returned. Our biggest complaint was - we were told to order a shuttle to the airport 1 hour before we needed it. We did and at 7:10 AM no shuttle. My husband asked the front desk and she said the other person had left her nothing about us needing a shuttle. A shuttle had come at 10 to 7, but it was for someone else. We were sittling in the lobby and saw no shuttle drive up. The front desk person said she would call for a big taxiand theywould pay for it. We waited and waited. There was one cab already at the hotel, so we checked with him and a large taxi was ordered. Finally after waiting, the cab driver went to the front desk and told the clerk that no big taxi would come and he asked her to call another cab. The other cab came quickly. In total, 45 minutes or more had we waited and had to hurry to catch the flight. All of this could have avoided if the front desk had communicated with each other. The hotel was not worth the price we paid.
