General
Fairtex Hostel provides business lounges and meeting rooms that can hold up to 150 participants. The property features Muay Thai, boxing, basketball, football, squash, badminton, tennis and rock climbing facilities. Patrons also work out at the fitness gymnasium, take Yoga classes, rejuvenate in the sauna/steam room or dip in the landscaped outdoor pool on site.

not the place to go for single travelers
it was far from all the action downtown and they wanted me to pay for an extra guest. breakfast buffet wasin't bad. room was a little uncomfortable. air con was so cold that i had to cycle it on and off; made the mistake of leaving it on and woke up sick. would not recomend.

Keine Ahnung wie dieses Hostel 4 Sterne hat. Das Mobilar in den Zimmern ist schon ziemlich alt auch verschlissen. Ein Stuhl zum hinsetzen nicht vorhanden. Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Der Pool sehr gut. Die Fitness einrichtungen sind schön, aber alles kostet extra und nicht wenig. Für das gleiche Geld gibt es in Pattaya bessere Zimmer. Hatte mehr erwartet, auch kostenfreie Nutzung der Fitnesseirichtunen und Computer.

Entry level rooms are extremely basic and do not have bathtubs. The drain in the middle of the bathroom means the floor may be wet some of the time. For the price the room was not a bad deal but the room was lower quality than I expected based on the web site pictures.

I've been especially impressed
I've been especially impressed by the 2 receptionists (both female staff members) who did my check-in/check-out job. Their attitude was more than expected, even admitting that the Thais in general have the highly reputed quality service & hospitality. What was not able to be overlooked, however, was the aging facility of the "Wing" rooms, one of which I had stayed. I believe it could not been helped, in view of the tough competition in Pattaya and the worsening economic outlook in Thailand due to the recent affairs. I, on the other hand, have noticed the sports facilities (which are the Hotel's biggest selling) have been updated in a state-of-the-art way, under some focused investment.
