Saba Hotel

Depuis la terrasse une vue incomparable sur la mosquée bleue et Ste Sophie. Très bon accueil. Il faudrait revoir le chauffage dans la salle de bain, ainsi que les chaines TV proposées (TV5 cruellement absente).

This hotel has an excellent location with a great view of the Blue Mosque. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast every morning. The staff is very helpful in informing you how to get around and where to go in the huge city of Istanbul. Unfortunately, it pains me to report that I stayed in Hotel Saba for two weeks in November of 2011 and I contracted BED BUGS, which, a year later, I am still trying to get rid of. I hope this problem has been rectified by now.

The hotel is just behind the blue mosque so a really great location. We booked 2 double rooms but were put on different floors. One of the rooms had a balcony and fantastic view...the other was tiny and smelt of smoke. The smell did not go throughout the 5 days we were there. We asked to move rooms closer to each other but apparently the hotel was full. The breakfast was simple with breads, cold meats, couple of cereals and tea/coffee. The bathroom smelt too. There was no kettle or minibar in the room. They was a man in reception who kept pestering us to take a boat tour but it seemed very expensive. The staff weren't very helpful in terms of what was nearby or recommend activites to see.
