Golden Legend Hotel

We found the staff and service at this hotel to be outstanding. We felt welcome from the moment we checked-in. If we required help with directions, taxi's, sim cards and advice, they bent over backwards ( probably more than one could expect) and made our stay one of the "best we have experienced." Breakfast was made to order each morning, and was outstanding. They even let us stay one morning after our return from Sapa, and have a sleep in a room plus shower and breakfast at no charge.......Would stay here again without checking any alternatives and will recommend to everyone.

Good Solid hotel on a quiet street in the Old Quarter. Great staff who are very accommodating. Room is good sized, with a comfortable bed, desk and chairs. Decent bath with a tub. Small fridge, free snacks & fruit a nice touch. Good air conditioning a plus as well. Very nice breakfast on top floor - both western and Vietnamese dishes along with fruit, coffee and tea. Pho is very good! Location is on a nice quiet street but easy walking distance to Old Quarter, sites and shopping.

Could not and would not fault this hotel. The staff here were excellent and could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. Have previously stayed in 4 other hotels within the Hanoi old quarter and this was by far the best. Sure we payed a little more than previous stays but it was worth every dollar. The hotel was close to every thing and was also quiet. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We really admired this hotel staff's warm hospitality. Guest room's soundproof is quite poor, expecially the joint room at 7th floor, you can hear every words the next-door guests speaking, Except this problem (it resolved by using earprug, and after we moved to the other room, the noise decreased), we are perfectly satisfied with this hotel.

Staff amazing. So helpful and friendly. Really central location. Comfy beds. Good water flow in shower. Cheap mini bar. Great breakfast. They brought us up some fresh fruit one afternoon out of the blue. Would stay there agin.

We were transfered to Golden Sun 2 (not 4) and found a spotlessly clean, modern hotel with excellent friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly choose this hotel again when we return to Hanoi.

Good hotel. Quiet location and yet just a 5 minute walk away from the old quarter where most of the tourist shopping action is. The rooms are first class and each room has its own computer with internet access, a flatscreen TV, and comfortable beds with white sheets and comforters. The staff is also very helpful. The bathroom is very clean as well. Their breakfast menu is decent but could definitely use some improvement. Like most of Hanoi, they are not yet accustomed to preparing Western dishes. Just be sure to clear things up with the front desk if you are going to take the airport pick up service. It's reasonably priced, USD 18 for a seven seater vehicle. When we arrived, we were picked up by a spacious van that could actually seat 9-10 persons. For our departure however, they simply acquired the services of a Totoya Innova Taxicab, which is much smaller and actually only seats 6 passengers, the driver being the 7th. Also, taking the cab directly would have been cheaper.

A small hotel, clean, very helpfull staff, an excellent place to stay. Recommend.
