I didn't care for this place it was very uncomfortable experience. But you get what you pay for.

Very dirty, beds were ok, roaches everywhere, cheap

First off. The front desk person was awful. She had a bad attitude and didn't care to take the energy to speak without mumbling. She clearly hates her job and has contempt for guests. I felt EXTREMELY unwelcome. After that it didn't get any better. I felt very unsafe in the building. And this was before I saw that the latch on my door had been broken off! Someone at one point rammed in the door and the latch broke off on the metal portion. The screws remained intact. In addition to that the door handle was very funny and needed jostling to get it to open. This was probably a side effect of the person who rammed in the door and broke the latch. The room wasn't very clean and I questioned how clean the beds really were. The beds had a slope in the middle. God knows how old they are. I woke the next morning and my feet were tingly since they were slightly elevated in relation to my chest because of said slope in the middle of the bed. There was an awful lousy TV and no fridge, microwave, and get this, alarm clock! Come on, seriously, not even an alarm clock?! I was immediately regretting my decision to book this motel. And all I could think about was the fact that I couldn't wait until morning when I could leave. And next morning is when I got the icing on the cake. After I get done with my shower I find that all my large towels have 1-3 inch long hairs on them. Thick hairs on top of that. Completely gross. I checked the hand towels and had no luck either. I did find one hand towel with only one small hair so I picked it off and dried off with a hand towel. I was really regretting forgetting to pack a back up towel. I do not expect much for $40 a night but I do expect cleanliness, an alarm clock, a respectable front desk person, and safety and with this place I got none of that. This place was almost as bad as a crummy motel that I stood at in Israel and that had a soiled mattress and roaches. Fortunately I didn't see any roaches while I was there. Oh,and the breakfast is coffee. I stayed at other places in AL for around the same price that were WAY better so it is not a get what you pay for type place. You get WAY less than what you pay for. There's a Day Inn for $5 more next to it that I'm sure is probably well worth the extra money.

Went to this hotel even after reading other negative reviews and regretted it big time. Towels had dark stains on them, the shower knob was stripped out, the air cond. knob was stripped out, the matresses were probably 20 or 30 yrs old-just plain wore out and sagging in the middle. I am in the military and they put us up in hotels way better than this. I will spend the extra 15 or more dollars for better next time.

Urine dried on the toilet seat. hairs all in the bath tub. there was trash in my bed. i slept on top of the top sheet. plug ins didnt work in the room couldnt blow dry my hair. this was a horrible experience! spend the extra money somewhere else!

The location was great, and the price just right. The room was small but it had a bed that felt like sleeping on a box spring instead of a mattress. I have stayed in motel 6 before and never had a problem with the beds.

I tried to like this place because the staff is friendly. However, the rooms were below average on cleanliness. There was a bug of some origin on the counter and a hair of some provenance stuck to the shower wall. The kicker was, however, that the maid completely forgot to clean my room. When notified, the staff apologized and offered new towels, etc.; however, a cleaning of the room was a service that's expected and paid for and was not done. The other issue is that the rooms were noisy thanks to the very busy I-65 being practically next door. I guess it is a Motel 6 so that's to be expected. Just bring ear plugs. There was also some sense of sleaziness in the place as the first night there was a cop cruiser parked in the parking lot with its headlights on all night. Not sure why, but hopefully it isn't because the motel is a site of frequent disturbances and the cops want to keep an eye on it. Also, there was a car with a completely bashed windshield and completely rusted hood parked in the lot as well. At first, I thought it was an abandoned car but I noticed it was moved the next day to another spot and so must have belonged to a guest or to staff. Other than that, though, the neighborhood around the motel seemed like a decent suburban neighborhood with the usual big box stores, chain restaurants, and regional mall and so was overall a decent place to stay a few nights.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Stairwells needed swept. TV worked well with good choice of stations. Could have used a clock in the room.

typical motel 6, room was clean but of course old and cheap. no problems during the stay, staff was also nice. area seemed safe and close to restaurants, and highway.

Overall, it was an ample place to stay for cheap. The only issue we had was there were tennis shoes that were left in the swimming pool for more than a day after we reported it. The pool was not open, but it sort of showed a lack of simple attention that was disregarded. The shoes made the pool appear to be unclean. I think this hotel will be better when the renovations are complete.
