The pool and spa experience made the stay wonderful.
We were there post Christmas and New Years holiday. Not to take in all the L.A. Live events. Rest and recoup was the order. The pool, spa, extra amenities at the pool deck and sunsets make it all worthwhile. The rooms...eh! The bed linens were lively, but i detected a divot on my side of the bed. Unacceptable! The bath linens were frayed of all things. Surprising. It was possible to tell that some of the furnishings were upgraded and some were tired and old. Fun shower, tub, and mirror tv for the kids. Love having the enclosed w/c for my husband. Sweet and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel on the basis of location and lovely pool experience.

Can't Complain
Booked a 1 night stay after watching a show at Nokia Theater. It was a birthday gift to my bf coz he wanted to stay at the Ritz-Carlton for his birthday. It is a great hotel with a couple of extra perks to make your stay more comfortable (tv in the bathroom, house slippers, dental kit, comb, q-tips etc). The rooms have gorgeous contemporary decor, which is my style so yes, I enjoyed my stay. Bf promised me a longer stay next time. But is it really worth the price? Well, I am not easy to please but even I said 'wow' a few times. My bf really appreciated the surprise, which made it well, well worth it. But but but....I guess money is one of the tools society uses to classify different items and set them apart as superior. The Ritz-Carlton is up there. Honestly, unless money is no object to you, there are lots of great++ hotels around the area for half the price.

Short walk from hotel
I am an LA resident and hang out at LA Live pretty often. Lots of good dining options and you can even go dancing at the Conga room; all within a few yards from the Ritz-Carlton. There's a Ralphs store a couple of blocks away. Definitely a prime location.
