Great Birthday weekend stay.
Great price for a one night stay. Went to catch a play at the La Jolla Playhouse, and this Hotel was at the right price and had overall good reveiws, therefore we were convinced. Also, the staff was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely stay again.

Great value for the San Diego area, restaurants nearby. The room for a family member we were traveling was given away because she checked in later, her room was upgraded which was nice but she was still on the other side of the hotel.

Not my first choice
Pros: Free Wi-Fi, Free Parking... Cons: Lot's of small stuff missing or not working... For example... Toaster only toasted 1 side of the bread, and the timer on it didn't work... The bed springs made A LOT OF noise, not to mention the mattress was COMPLETELY bent on one side - gave me a bad backache. There is no room service, and the restaurant only works after 5:00 pm. The location is really not near anything anyone would like to do... The price isn't that cheap considering all the negatives... Don't recommend this place unless you have no other choice...

Son's graduation
The hotel staff was very pleasant from the minute we got there until we left. One of the waitress's at breakfast was so kind about helping us find a babysitter for my grandson. She went out of her way. The rooms were huge and everything worked. We had all the kitchen amenities we needed.

My Best Hotel Experience Ever
I travel at least once a month for work and my company receives special rates with Hyatt and Sheraton Harbor Islands among other hotels. This time I came on my own for a little weekend get away and it was my first time in this hotel. The cleanliness, size of bathroom, quality of furniture, friendliness of the staff, comfort of the bed and last but not least breakfast were unmatched. Next time I am in San Diego, I will not be staying at any other hotel.

A Plesant Weekend Getaway
The hotel was very nice, modern motif and well decorated. The staff friendly and helpful. The room (suite) was cozy, clean, and comfortable. However, we were surprised that the televisions were not HD flat-screen. The kitchenette was well equipped with a full-size refrigerator, small stove-top, microwave oven, dishes, utensils, and cookware. The hotel even offered free breakfast for its guests - not continental breakfast but a respectable breakfast buffet. The hotel even had onsite laundry facilities for its guests. The rates were an excellent value, and the suite and its amenities were very welcoming. We would stay again at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites, San Diego.
