Orchard Garden Hotel

Honestly, When I booked my stayI was expecting a bigger size room. But after settling in, it was perfect for me and my girlfriend. We really didnt need all that space as we were always in and out of the hotel anyways. The Hotel was really clean, beds were always made and room was tidied up every time we got back to the hotel. The staff was great. Hotel was GREEN and free wifi! The best thing I liked hotel was the location. It was right at the gates to Chinatown and Union Square was just 2 blocks down. Perfect location for my stay. Cons: There was only 1 elevator access to the rooftop and you would have to wait and wait or just get lucky to get the right elevator to take you there. Also, the ice machines were only on the 5th and 10th floor. Overall 4 stars out of 5 and prolly will considered to stay here again.

Very comfortable and clean near the entrance to China Town meaning close to great food - wireless internet connection was intermittent or slow even in the lobby.

Helpful front desk with giving advice. Found the featherbed too warm, so had to turn on a/c which is not really "green", so asked next day for a blanket, which I had delivered the same night. It would be great to store a blanket in the room.

Location is great and room was quiet for where it was. We stayed on the 8th floor, nicely remodeled room for a great price. The room was on the smaller side but that's not a problem for me, I like to walk around the city, not my room. The only thing I didn't care for was the bathroom door. Beautiful sliding wood, but you can hear everything on the outside you might as well have it open... So, come with someone you feel, well, comfortable with! Oh, and thanks for making me pay for a toothbrush...

Fabulous location near Union Square shopping (and right next to the entrance to Chinatown). Brand new, super-clean rooms with perfect QUIET air conditioning. The rooms aren't overly large, and there was no view, but it was blessedly quiet, and that's a rare find in SF, especially for a hotel that's this affordable. An added plus: the hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. Every single person seemed genuinely kind and warm.

Loved the idea of a green hotel, and really loved the service and quality of a green hotel. Spacious and affordable, OGH is located at a great spot on Bush St. Great restaurants and bars around the hotel.

For this price, this is probably the best deal you can get in downtown San Francisco. The chain hotels in the area (e.g. Hilton, Marriott) are more expensive and they are not any better. Here the rooms are smaller but they are incredibly new and clean. I would definitely suggest this hotel.

Great location near union square. Clean, comfortable, parking of course is the only difficult thing.

The room was a very tiny handicapped accessible room (low closet poles, sliding bathroom door) on an airshaft. There was a torrential rain that created a lot of noise on the airshaft, but the hotel itself was very quiet. Valet parking was difficult, with limited curb and long waits for the car. Excellent location near Chinatown, Union Square, MOMA and the Financial District.

The staff is cordial and the rooms are decent. All amenities are fairly updated with blueray player and LCD TV
