The Embassy Row Hotel

While the staff was courteous and rooms were clean, the lack of room service, and vending machines that wouldn't accept anything larger than a 1 dollar bill made our stay a bit underwhelming, especially considering the cost of the room and parking.

The hotel is located just a short distance from Dupont Circle and from the Metro. We took the Grayline Bus Tour, which has a stop also a short distance from the hotel, making the location great! The rooftop pool is small, but nice. The breakfast was good, just a typical continental breakfast. The staff was very nice, provided water at the entry which was great since we were there on record breaking hot days. The only complaints that I have was that the hotel could use some work. The moldings on the floor are missing in a number of places, the carpets could used to be cleaned and the rooms and the common areas could use some general renovations. Our room (a nonsmoking room on a nonsmoking floor) smelled like smoke. We asked the housekeeping staff for something to take care of it, but, she didn't have anything. Since we had already unpacked, we didn't want to switch rooms. The smell kind of subsided, but then the next day when we came back, it smelled like fresh smoke again. At checkout, the person in front of me was also complaining of this and he was on a different floor. The only other thing is that I wished the hotel had a refrigerator in the room. Overall, the hotel is average, but the location was great for what we had planned.

This hotel is great if you want somewhere that has easy access to everything in Washington D.C. but don't want to shell out a ton of money. The neighborhood is great with plenty of shops and restaurants as well as easy access to a metro station from which you can get almost anywhere in town.

Das Hotel befindet sich in günstiger Lage am Dupontzirkel.Die Metrostation ist schnell erreichbar,somit ist man schnell im Stadtzentrum .Am Dupont-Zirkel selbst gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants. Das Zimmer war sehr schön:hell,komfortabel,sauber. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend. Der Pool auf dem Dach ist ein zusätzliches Plus.

This hotel was quiet, clean and had a helpful staff. Right by the metro station and Dupont Circle.

There's plenty within walking distance from the hotel. Plus they have a pool on the roof which us pretty sweet. And the staff was very accomidating. I have nothing to complain about!

Friendly staff. Well kept; incredible roof deck; nice room with excellent view, and one of the best locations in DC. Negatives: slight wiff of mildew in bathroom, continental breakfast is completely forgettable, especially with all of the options near Dupont Circle. Computer check-in was really slow compared with other chains and hotels. All-in-all, a great experience.

I stayed in Embassy Row for 6 nights while attending a conference in D.C. The hotel was within 2 minutes walk of Dupont Circle subway, and close to many restaurants so food was easy to find. The free wifi was a big plus if you are travelling on business. The breakfast spread was adequate. Staff were really friendly and tried their best to meet every service request. Very good value for money!

Our stay was very pleasant. We took advantage of the rooftop pool (quite small but still better than nothing). Valet is about $40 a night. Breakfast was standard for continental, nothing special. Location is great, a few steps away from the Dupont metro stop. On summer Sundays, there is a lovely farmers market at the Dupont metro stop. Would recommend it if you want to stay in the area.

The Embassy Row is in a great location, just a block from the metro and a very nice neighborhood with lots of little restaurants in easy walking distance. The staff was very helpful and hotel was very clean.
