Washington Plaza Hotel

The Plaza was wonderfully located between Dupont Circle and the Mall, with a Metro station just blocks away. The staff was fabulous in getting last minute details worked out so my presentation the next morning went smoothly. The room was clean and spacious - in a neighborhood that was safe with plenty of restaurants within a few blocks. I will definitely be staying here when I return!

Central location for doing the tourist things. Close to the Metro. Staff was very friendly. Nice rooms. I asked staff to recommend nearby restaurants and bars. Several within walking distance were a real good time.

First time stay at the Washington Plaza. It was clean and reasonably priced and central to the location of meetings I needed to attend. $5 to $10 cab fare everywhere i needed to get to.

From check-in, to the odd question here and there, to check-out, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and attractive, with a large, well-lit bathroom - great for reading in the tub! And the hotel was just a few short blocks to the Metro and the Mall. A great value.

Although the room was small, it was nicely appointed and the bed was really comfortable. Updated bathroom with fresh white tile and a bright, new shower. Restaurant on-site had a good dinner menu. Very convenient to downtown DC and a good rate for the season.

I picked this hotel knowing nothing about it. I mainly chose it because it was located close to the seminar host hotel. From the guys who helped me in with my luggage, to the sweet lady ([...]) who brought my room service order at 11pm, every person in this hotel was not only polite, but just so NICE (with one exception, being the lady in the gift shop on Sunday morning - she didn't address me upon entering or ask if I needed help). I spoke to the restaurant manager once - he called concerned that I didn't eat much and asked if there was anything wrong with the food. There wasn't at all, but I have NEVER had a manager ask me that, nor be concerned as he was. Speaking of food, the menu was interesting and everything I ordered tasted great. I will be returning to DC with my family within the year, and we will most definitely stay at the Washington Plaza again. And also, the hotel was immaculately clean. I would add a food vending machine. I get a little snack-y late at night. Also, it the room had first-run movies, I would have bought several, I'm sure, because I had some downtime. But still, the hotel was perfect for me and my needs. I was extremely impressed. Thanks for a great stay!!

I used the iron in my room and some black plastic melted onto the collar. (Of course this happened in a visible spot, even after ironing the inside of the cuffs and collar!). The duty manager sent my shirt to their laundry, and when the couldn't get the mark off, they sent it out to a cleaners. They couldn't fix it so the hotel sent someone out to buy a new shirt for me. Unfortunately my size wasn't in stock, so they refunded the cost of the shirt from my bill. The Washington Plaza is good value, has great rooms and outstanding service. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again.

I stayed at the Washington Plaza Hotel because it was very close to the convention center where I had a conference. The front desk staff, bellhops, and restaurant staff were all incredibly professional, helpful, and kind. The food at the restaurant was SO good, especially the chocolate cake - YUM! I loved that the complimentary shampoo, soap, etc. were Bath and Body Works products. The bed was so comfy, clean sheets and comforter, everything looked and smelled very clean and nice. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel anytime you're in town.

The hotel staff was amazing. The hotel is very beautiful inside. They have a great breakfast buffet. The pool looks amazing but it was closed. It is located in a clean and very productive area of the city.
