Destiny Palms Hotel Maingate West a 3 Palms Hotel

Good value, very plain. Would stay again. Must have car to get around, but McDonalds and Holohans is within walking distance.

Although this hotel had some very positive attributes to it, I would not stay again for 1 primary reason. The free continental breakfast was less than adequate and I don't have overly high expectations. Frozen waffles and pancakes that you microwave just don't cut it though. Also, although the resort fee is disclosed, it is VERY hidden so many people might overlook that and be surprised upon check in with additional costs. On the plus side, the room was nice and quiet. Although on the small side it was well within expectations for a hotel in this price range. The hotel is located at the far end of the strip along irlo bronson and traffic can be a headache so for disney stays a hotel a few miles down the road might be more convenient. Overall, if they improved the free breakfast I would consider staying again.

My son (9) and I stayed for 7 nights. Here are drawbacks: Swimming pool is extremely cold and not clean Front desk staff is not helpful, people are on the phone and having private phone calls, make guests wait. Others do not even provide area maps although they have them. The only really helpful person was the night male receptionist. Breakfast of mediocre quality and there is not enough space for sitting. Every morning there was a line up at the door to get a table. In the room, the curtain fell of the rails and no one repaired it even though I notified the front desk. I would expect better service even from a 3 star hotel.

It was a little further than what I wanted to go after we finished. When we got to the hotel at 11:30 pm, the check in was quick. We got to our room and there was mold in the bathroom (this was a design flaw not a cleaning issue). The bathrooms are enclosed, small and if the door isn't left open then the mold will grow regardless.The mold was in the top corner of the bathroom and was not in abundance. We went down to the front desk. They had us in a new room immediately with no issues. The next morning the manager spoke with us on checking out and offered a free night on our next visit. I would go back, but this isn't one of my favorite hotels. For the price, it's good. Breakfast was okay the next morning.

Our room was standard. It was clean and provided travel size items like all other hotels. There wasn't anything outstanding about the room or hotel but the employee at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. She gave phone directions to the hotel to the rest of our group who were lost on other side of Orlando.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights during my vacations at the Theme Parks. If you are going to Disney, then you're golden, it is a few minutes away. To Universal or Sea World then get ready for a 15-20 minute drive, which turns out to be not big of a deal. My first night at this hotel was not very comfortable as the room had a very bad smell coming from the carpet...Nonetheless, as the hotel was sold out there was nothing to be done to help me that night but right away at the next morning we were given another room and it was fine, thumbs up for your help. I had some stuff to print during my stay which the personnel gladly did. They offered breakfast every morning and the cafeteria was a bit over-crowded. Bottom line, if you are going on vacation and focused on your fun at the parks and not thinking about being a king/queen at a hotel, then this one is worth your money. PROS: Very kind/helpful personnel, complimentary breakfast, Target store nearby, quiet environment, budget friendly. CONS: Needs new carpeting, doors appearance repair, a little more of effort on the housekeeping (forgot towels some days).

Great value for the money, friendly and efficient staff, wonderful beds (and linens and pillows), clean room and bathroom, modern TV and technology, quiet and fully-functioning A/C. Two tips: (1) charge a fee for breakfast and improve it radically or overall eliminate it; and (2) buy Febreeze and apply it to rooms before check-in (or use those plug-ins); the smell is not horrible but it gives you a first bad impression. I will definitely come back!!

The hotel was nice and cheap, the staff was helpfull and the room was clean. Disney was 10 minutes driving.

We have a nice time in this hotel, the staff was helpfull and the room was very good. If you have a car you can go to disney park in 15 minutes.
