Days Inn Miami Airport North

On May 28th I stayed here. room 237. Centipede like bugs on the lamp shades. Spiders from ceiling over shower. What looked like silver fish insects on the bed. Large animal feces of some sort on floor. The staff said we will get u a shuttle back to airport. Call manager at 8 in morn. I slept at airport that night. It was terrible. My flight left at 8 so I cudnt call. w

BAD: this hotel is good for one night only, for emergencies. lazy staff - does not respond to complaints - eg 1 - electronic safe needed batteries replaced to function properly, promised to change, they never did ; eg 2 - called frontdesk twice, they did nothing about overhead guests yelling, stomping at 3 am ; very unsecure - emergency doors were left open 24/7. decrepid hotel : carpets - old & nasty irritated my sinuses, floor - creaked when walked on, window - panes loosed.

Watch out for strands of hair in your towels and bed. Also, the lights don't work and there was bugs in the bed. The front desk was to send the maintenance man to fix the lights he never came. Compared to a hut in a 3rd world country this place would be livable for them!

For me cleanliness is the most important factor. Room in this hotel was very dirty. It seemed that the carpet hadn't been cleaned for years. Room corners were too dirty. I have stayed in hotels at Miami on several occasions and there are many much better hotels in the same price range.

The staff were good and helpful. The rooms are old but clean. The television had no remote and every time you tried to change the channel it would shut off. The bathroom is very small and tight. It's a great location if you are waiting for a flight. The airport is only about a mile away from this location.

The hotel's overall appearance was not appealing. I would not visit again. Generally, there was not a feeling of security in the building and the ambiance, staff, aroma, and setting was poor

I was in Miami for an overnight seminar. The location by the airport ensured that I could get in and out fast. I chose to stay at a Day's Inn, because I expected, 'chain' standards. I was extremely disappointed. There were some fair attempts (lots of pillows, nice comforter, remodeled in the last few years). However, the abrupt front desk, lack of information in the room, stained pillow-case, bad TV and intense 'smokey smell' ( I had requested a non-smoking room, but was told, sorry), was a turn off. I won't take a chance on another Day's Inn.

Eventhougt I only stay there one single night, I did not pay attention to other reviews and I must said, they are completely true. It is near by the airport and the free shuttle is probably the only thing good. My room was dirty, specially the bathroom; somke keep entering from the next room, along with their bathroom odors (my room was non-smoking). Bead sheets, towels. everhything seems poorly cleaned. BTW I only noted one ant, that thing about the bugs, is probably not true

Ich hatte ein Nichtraucherzimmer. Trotzdem hat das Zimmer derart gestunken!!! Es stank nicht nur nach Rauch.... Es war einfach ekelig!!! Von irgendwo drangen Stimmen aus einem TV in mein Zimmer. An schlafen war nicht zu denken. Die Klimaanlage konnte man auch nicht nutzen, sie machte einen Krach wie eine Straßenbaumaschine. Telefonisch konnte die Rezeption nicht erreicht werden, da das Telefon tot war. Trotz Bemühungen des Personals konnten die TV Stimmen nicht abgestellt werden. Eine Mitarbeiterin spendierte mir zum Trost ein Frühstück. Das fand ich zwar sehr nett, ich muss dennoch vor diesem Motel warnen!!!! Einfach nur ekelig!!! :-( PS: das Motel liegt direkt an einem Highway und in der Einflugschneise zum Flughafen.
