Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Downtown

I was in town for one night to meet with customers from China. The accommodations were perfect. The staff was fantastic! The free beer and wine along with a free evening meal worked out great for us. We did not have to leave the hotel to dine. The morning breakfast was as good as I ever had. One of my guest slept too late and missed breakfast. The staff was kind enough to provide my quest with some fruit, yogurt and muffin. What great service....and with a smile!!!! I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed over one night prior to our cruise. The room was great with a full kitchen and a comfortable room with separate bedroom.

Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It had free breakfast and wifi. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was staying in the area.

Great staff. Great FULL breakfast buffet (everyday) & Evening manager reception (Monday-Thursday). FREE Shuttle for locations within 2 miles was EXTREMELY CONVENIENT. Only issue was parking in paid parking area ($11/night) is limited when the hotel is pretty much filled to capacity as it was during my stay (June 6-10). Our 1st night's parking fee had to be refunded and we parked at a metered park on the street which was free until 8AM when they begin to patrol the meters; there were parks available at that time due to those early risers that had places to be that morning.

First of they charge $100 for a pet fee which is totally outrageous. Then the room was not clean. The dishes were dirty and I had to wash them, the bathroom had hair in the shower and I saw a big crawling around in the bathroom. I will never stay at that hotel ever again!

I highly recommend this hotel! The front desk clerks were great! They made me laugh after a stressful navigation of Tampa Bay with my husband. The clerks were a wealth of knowledge. They suggested the closest beach and a great Cuban resturant for us to check out. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes guests within a two mile radious in down town Tampa. The hotel was well maintained. The rooms were large and clean. There was a happy hour and continental breakfast (more that assorted pastries).

The room was nice. It was nice to have a fridge but since there aren't any ice machines around the hotel it would be good for them to fill the ice maker in the freezer before you arive or at least have it started. The bathrooms needed to be paid a little more attention too. The floors were pretty dirty and the toilet paper was like sandpaper.

We were in town for the Kenny Chesney concert and NCAA tournament. For the price the location is great. We walked to bars and restaurants because the weather was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and kind. We arrived at 10:30 am and although check in was not until 4 pm they let us use the lobby bathroom to change/freshen up and they held our bags in a locked room. Also, the young man who worked the front desk was funny and always remembered our name.

It worked. It was cheaper than the other (nicer, newer) hotels in Downtown - for our purpose it was perfect. A nice, clean place to sleep for the night, directly across the street from the Performing Arts Center. If you want posh, there are a couple newer nicer places. It you want clean, functional, and does the trick, this is perfect. Little gym (2 treadmills, eliptical), pool, 2 spa's and a nice staff. Clean and convenient, priced right. Breakfast was actually very good too (and free).

The staff was super friendly! My room was super clean and decorated so nice. Like ultra modern. I loved it. The bed was super super soft but also firm. Had some decent treadmills/elipticals w/tvs on them. right off the highway for location. convenient to hyde park. Also great continental breakfast..full breakfast in a pretty dining area.
