Amalfi Hotel Chicago

My wife and I enjoyed the 4 night stay at the Amalfi Hotel Chicago. Every one was friendly and answered all concerns we had.

We very much enjoyed having breakfast outside of our room each morning with wonderful pastry. The Happy Hour was excellent with great lemonmartinis, wine, beer, etc. A wide assortment of Italian cheeses and meats along with grilled veggies and other delicacies. It also gave you an opportunity to meet other travelers in the hotel and socialize. Great idea.

The Amalfi has a great Chicago location, right in the middle of everything. The feeling was upscale and the room was clean, has a great view and featured an in-room CD collection. A complimentary continental breakfast on our floor by the elevator featuring coffee, a wide selection of teas, juice, fresh muffins and pastries was a great way to start the day! The bed was comfortable, the double shower head was fantastic and the staff was great. I'd highly recommend the Amalfi.

The Amalfi Hotel was a very clean hotel that was comfortable and had friendly staff. Every morning there was a nice continental breakfast and every evening there was a complimentary bar and appetizer area that was put together very well. As for the location, you couldn't ask for a better location in Chicago. Close to all shops, Navy Pier and bars/restaurants.

The Amalfi was perfect for our stay-3 days, 2 nights of sightseeing in Chicago. The location was great to catch the redline or a cab. There were several places to eat surrounding the hotel, all within walking distance. When we come back to Chicago with our kids, we will stay at another hotel geared toward families. However, the Amalfi was a simple, attractive and very clean hotel that was perfect for our purposes.

This was our first saty at the Amalfi, but it willnot be our last. We (my wife & I), have raved about the hotel, its services, staff and rate. Upon arrival the valet opened the door for my wife as I walked to the back of our vehicle to get our luggage. He escorted us to a desk who checked us in. She was courteous and gave us information about the hotel and the breakfast on each floor as well as the evening cocktails. The breakfast was excellent and the choices were immense. The staff told us about nearby places to eat and each time we came back to the hotel were greeted with a smile. The room was very comfortable, the bed, air conditioner and the room amenities were also excellent. This sounds like a broken record but this was ine of the BEST stays we have had aat a hotel in a number of years. This place needs to get awards!!

Our room at the Amalfi was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast every morning right down the hall was wonderful and so convenient. I used the computer and printer in the business center and was able to print out directions to the sights we wanted to see that day and then print our boarding passes for the trip home. The hotel is conveniently located for walking or taking CTA transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have some soft drink vending machines in the ice machine room.

The Amalfi Hotel Chicago was a very convenient hotel! It also had a cocktail hour for guests! The beds were comfortable! The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed ourselves on our visit to Chicago!

Breakfast every morning on the same floor was a real plus in addition to the afternoon cocktails and appetizers.

I had never been to Chicago before so I don't know the standard hotel in that area, but I was overall pleased with the Amalfi. The lighting in the bathroom was about the best I've ever had in a hotel. I actually felt like I could get an accurate idea of how my make up looked. The staff gave us so many ideas and suggestions on things to do and printed out several maps for us. They also brought special requests to our room for us (like liquid creamer instead of the powder with the coffee maker) and were very friendly and not snobbish at all. The only thing I might have liked better would have been more healthy options on the breakfast spread (it was all sweet pastries) and a hot tub would've been great after all that walking. The cocktail reception was fantastic though, not to be missed! Overall I felt safe and secure there and had a great trip!
