Days Inn and Suites-Mackinaw City-Bridgeview Lodge

We arrived at 1:00 pm on Saturday for 2-day Labor Day Weekend. Explained that I was recuperating from a detached retina and asked if we could get in the room early, They took the phone # and said they would call when it did. After looking around for 1-1/2 hours we checked to see if room was ready. Cleaning supervisor said it should be 30 minutes. Still not done after that time. At 4:00 the room was still not ready. There was a roof full of people in the breakfast area waiting to get into their rooms as well. We finally got in at 4:30. Later that night we discovered that the bathroom fan did not turn on so we called the front desk. Within 30 minutes someone was there. He worked on it for a bit and said that "it was broken and he could not fix it. He did not have a replacement either at that time so we would have to do without it." Inner bathrooms with no ventilation get steamy in the showers. I went to front desk and asked if we could get moved to another room. They were booked solid because of the Bridge Walk. We could not be moved. I asked about a discount on the room. She looked at her screen and said that she could not do anything because we already got a good deal by booking online, and that there was nothing that she could do. Frankly, I looked up through their online site and saw that the same type of room at that location was going for less than what I paid online. I was highly disappointed when I found that out. The cleaning staff was overworked. By their own words, "All the summer help from overseas was gone and they didn't have enough help to do everything." We noticed only 4 people trying to maintain the rooms. On Sunday they came into the room and took the towels. They did not make up the beds or leave clean towels. We had to call to get them delivered and even that took over an hour to get them.

The hotel, rooms and pool area are in need of updating. The beds were horribly uncomfortable but you get what you pay for. I would not stay there again and would pay additional for a decent room. It was pretty clean and the breakfast was ordinary. Very small eating area, the pictures are deceiving.

We got to the hotel at around 11:00 p.m. - there was another couple checking in and he man at the desk said he was new. It took a full hour to even get our room. It was ridiculous! The employee just could not figure out anything and I finaly begged him to just give us our key since the room was already paid for so we could just go to sleep (we had been traveling al day). As it turned out - the key was already waiting for us and on the desk. If I didn't suggest that - who knows how long we would have waited. This man obviously needed some sort of training. Other than that - it was just an average hotel and a place to sleep.

Me and my Fiance went up there for our 6 year anniversary. The room was great, the view of the bridge was obscurred but the bed and hot tub in the room were great!

I loved this hotel. It looks like a log cabin and was very close to the everything.

We loved the in room jaccuzi! The breakfast buffet was better than most and included scrambled eggs that tasted home made.

My family of four stayed here and thought the accomodations were ok. We had low expectations going in soooo on the upside it was clean and the A/C worked awesome. The downside was that the beds were not comfortable. Great place for a one night clean/cheap place to stay....when your focus is seeing the sights :)

Visited Mackinac Island. The room was clean. Found the remote not working for the TV, but was replaced soon. Found the elevator not working, but I believe they corrected that within half hour or so. No harm, no foul. It was slightly below the quality of previous trips...even to Mackinaw.

Very nice hotel. Clean, conveniently located, good price.
