Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino

Check in took forever. When we arrived my wife found blood on & in the toilet.............yuck!! The bed was not comfortable, the fridge had no temp controls and froze everything we put in it. No microwave or coffee was provided even though there was a coffee maker. The Village Seafood Buffet has changed and by changed I mean it sucks even though it cost more than it did a few years ago. Went to see Eddie Griffin in the "Kings Room" of the Rio. The room was old and small and the only person that could get a drink was Eddie Griffin . In fact he drank so much he forgot most of his material and was on stage in a drunken stupor for the last hour. The hostess walked through once to collect drink orders and never made it to our side of the room. The stay, the show, the food, the fact I was so far off the strip, it was just a wack experience.

Has stayed at cheaper hotels as Stratosphere, Circus Circus etc and this hotel is better in most ways. The rooms are very clean and service is good. The standard suites doesn´t really have "suite feeling" bur are ok.

Went to see Eddie Griffin in the Kings Room it sucked. He drank so much he forgot his jokes......meanwhile i could not get the server to come to my side of the room so i could get a drink. The Kings room is small, old and they had us sitting on lawn chairs. The whole stay was wack. They changed the Village Seafood Buffet and it is no longer worth the premium price they charge. Pre split crab legs were dry, no lobster tails anymore, it was just a disappointing experience. I would stay on the strip

We had a great time! Staff was friendly and helpful. Since we were going to stay for 3 days, we took advantage of Buffet of Buffets. $49.99 for a 24hr buffet extravaganza at several buffets. Found out that Caesars palace charges an additional $15-$25 on top of the $49.99?? Back to the Rio, Had a Blast!! would definitely consider vacationing here again

After a wait for oh 30 minutes to check in, we walk a mile to the towers and get to the 30th floor and the keys do NOT work. We had reserved a king suite and we got two double beds. The next day the water flowed brown, as in not clear water, brown murky water, where you would hope to brush your teeth. The day after wasn't much better, the hot water in the shower wasn't working, a nice cold shower after a long day of walking. The only positive was they had a shuttle, for free to the strip. Don't be confused as we were this isn't actually on "The Strip". Just stay somewhere else and pay a couple more dollars.

So the Rio hotel has eliminated their popular show in the sky which added so much atmosphere to the hotel. We were told the parent company closed the hourly show due to economic reasons. The staff said since the hotel is up for sale, minimal funds are being spent on this hotel. This is apparent in the casino where the blackjack tables are worn and tattered. The room layout is large but not guest friendly with the fridge and coffee machine on an opposite wall no where near the sink or counter. The room rate was $224 on a Saturday when I pre-booked but was down to $79 the day of. NOT GOING BACK!!

We were off the strip, but very happy with our room, was clean and bed were very comfortable. Pool was nice and staff was friendly. We will return for sure!

My husband and I enjoyed our times staying at Rio. Nice quiet, and comfortable room. The best thing that the hotel was complimenting us with a non smoking room. We really appreciated that very much. we would come back there again and will recommend the Rio to our friends.

Lots to do fun, friendly, and great views! Very clean and best buffet!
