Drury Inn & Suites Columbus Convention Center

This is a nice, clean hotel for the Arena District Area.

Check in was fast and friendly. Parking garage right under the the hotel. Love the free food and 3 free drinks at 5:30 perfect start to the evening before we walked to nationwide arena for our concert. Staff at the hotel are very friendly. Especially the ones working the buffet and bar area Saturday night. Drury...great job! Safety and security at the Drury is top notch. You always have to have your room key to get through doors and up the elevator to your room. Security guards always around and very friendly too. Only 2 minor things I would suggest to the hotel and that is to have trays available at the buffet (always had to ask for one) and to have bars of soap for shower instead of the liquid gel in the shower dispenser. Doesn't smell good and you don't feel clean with it.

You are greeted by a friendly staff that is always available and helpful. Parking and unloading your car is easy and the security in the hotel is great. You'll love the free soda and popcorn upon arrival, but if you want the three free alcoholic drinks at happy hour you better get in line a bit before 5:30! The happy hour food is more than enough for dinner and its free! The pool is clean and fun and you are so close to tons of downtown Columbus fun, too. Just don't plan on sleeping in a bed with someone else; it's a trampoline and excruciatingly uncomfortable. Breakfast almost makes up for the sleepless night. Almost.

The free breakfast and afternoon snack (more like a meal with hot dogs, chips, and chili) were great. They offer a ton of food at both times! The breakfast had everything you could want: waffles, oatmeal, eggs, meat, biscuits, etc. The indoor pool and spa were nice, but the pool wasn't heated, so we didn't use it. They do charge for parking, but that is to be expected in a downtown hote. It is a very safe and spacious garage. The room was clean and the beds nice. The bathroom was clean and modern as well. The only complaint would be the tiny workout room. It only had a treadmill and stair climber. Would have liked some freeweights, but it was ok enough to get some quick work done.

The Drury was perfect for any event at the Columbus Convention Center. Security was great, you could only get access to the room areas & parking deck with your room key. Would definitely recommend & stay there again myself.

Parking extra was the only downer! Free food is always the same, but acceptable

My husband and I were traveling to Columbus for a Saturday-night concert. We basically needed a place to sleep before driving home on Sunday. This hotel was a great choice for us! We enjoyed the complimentary drinks and snacks, then walked a few short blocks to the show. Our room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the hot breakfast on Sunday morning. If I had to register a complaint, it would be that the wait for the elevators was VERY long (almost ten minutes on Sunday morning). In a facility this large, two elevators just isn't enough.

-WE WERE ATTENDING A FUNCTION FOR MY SON'S SCHOOL IN THE AREA. -THE KEYS DID NOT WORK FOR THE PARKING GARAGE IN OR OUT, WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS, IF YOU HAVE TO PAY IT SHOULD WORK AND WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT AND WAIT FOR CALL BUTTON TO WORK. -FOOD AND HAPPY HOUR GOOD AND THE STAFF WORKING IT VERY POLITE. -POOL NICE. -STAFF AT CHECK IN VERY HELPFUL. -THE ROOMS WERE AVERAGE, COFFEE IN ROOM HORRIBLE, SHAMPOO BAD, BEDS COMFY, NO TELEPHONE BOOK, INTERNET ACCESS GOOD, DECOR DATED, COUNTER SPACE SMALL (TINY),AND NO SAFE IN ROOM. -ALL IN ALL OKAY. -WOULDN'T SPEND THE MONEY AGAIN.

We selected the Drury because it was so highly rated on Travel Advisor. Everything was very fine except that the walls are apparently very thin and we could hear conversations and noise from other rooms that kept us mostly awake until 2AM or so. I recommend it with some reservations.
