Description

Experience the wild western edge of Ireland on a full-day outing to the coastal Cliffs of Moher. Take in sweeping views of the Atlantic, learn about the fascinating, rocky geology of the Burren, and stop at charming, historic villages like Doolin and Kinvara.

Meet your guide in the centre of Dublin and set off for the drive to Cliffs of Moher, staggering limestone cliffs that drop 666 feet (203 m) to the crashing waves of the Atlantic below. Spend an hour and a half exploring the area on your own, strolling the clifftop paths and stopping in at the visitor centre for an interactive presentation.

Leave this majestic shoreline behind and head to the nearby village of Doolin, a tiny town famous for its traditional Irish music. Relax over lunch at a cosy pub like Fitzpatrick's, and then work off your meal with a short trek through the Burren, a limestone karst landscape known for its unique plants and wild orchids.

Explore the arty, bohemian city of Galway, renowned for its brightly painted pubs, live music and cafés. A city steeped in history, explore the meandering streets and listen to the many street performers from around the world who call this city their home. See remnants of the mediaeval town walls that lie between shops selling Aran jumpers, handcrafted Claddagh rings and stacks of second-hand and new books.

The trip destination itself was very good and we enjoyed it very much. Totally worth the time and money. There was a lot of confusion during boarding, a simple sign on the bus's dashboard would have helped. None of the Extreme Ireland tour company staff was able to direct us to the right bus (there were several near Molly Malone statue) The driver and tour guide was ok. The driver was a nice person but she seemed in so much stress about meeting the time and navigating the traffic, she dampened our enthusiasm by constantly nagging us and being overly instructive. I mean, we are paying customers who are on a vacation - don't tell us how stressful your job is, just do whatever needs to be done without spoiling our experience!

A very nice trip to see Ireland outside of Dublin. The scenery and the experience was amazing. The guide was very engaging and funny. Would recommend this to anyone that wants to see more outside of Dublin. A long day, but worth it.
