The only reason to stay here is the location but there are plenty of other hotels around this location as well. The staff on the whole were very pleasant but some members were downright rude. The hotel is in dire need of a refurb and for the price per night, it is really difficult to justify staying here.
We were overcharged so check your bill for double taxes and double resort fees - beware! The hotel charges $25 per day on top of charging you to stay there.
We were given access to a Club Lounge as we were staying for 7 nights and had nothing included other than the room, but honestly the lounge is not somewhere you’d want to eat breakfast, drink the coffee or spend any time. Some of the staff there are absolutely lovely though.
The rooms have literally no creature comforts in them. Empty fridge, coffee machine but no milk, no spoons and just paper cups, there’s also no vanity kit just soap in the bathroom….
Also a seemingly small thing but every guest remarked how annoying the lifts are! Everyone has to race to one tiny touch pad in the corner of the lift to input their floor before it shoots up. When you have 8 people in a lift it’s just frustrating.
Overall I’d say this is a poor experience from the Westin. Most of the staff are trying their hardest to give guests a nice experience but the hotel is so old and tired and the Westin appears to have cut costs on some basic comforts you expect from a top hotel - especially one that charges us over $3,000 for one week!!
