We stayed one night, the rooms were nice, clean… my 7 & 11 year old enjoyed the pool which was clean and not too crowded. Breakfast had good options. We would definitely stay again!

Our hotel door did not lock. The windows rattled and whistled every time the wind blew. Was not a clean hotel.

Customer service was top notch. Hotel was in a great location. The only negatives were the condition of the bathroom. It wasn’t necessarily dirty, just super dated giving the appearance it was. Definitely needs some new paint and caulking. Also, the shower head needs to be replaced and we often took showers that wouldn’t get very hot. The fridge was also dirty.

Maintenance Issues

The hotel has some maintenance issues. The lock on the room wouldn't read the key card. We were moved to another room with the same issue. The front desk attendant (the only person on staff at the hotel) came up and tried but both locks were broken so she tried another room and finally put us in the third room. She did make up for it by allowing my daughter to pick some snacks from the lobby at no charge. Several of the rooms looked like the doors had been pried open. The thermostat on the ac/heat unit in the room didn't work. You would turn it on until the room got hot, then you would have to get up and turn it off again until the room cooled off again. It seems like hotels just aren't staffed or maintained like they used to be.

The property was clean and well maintained. The room was nice and specious. The location was great because it was in the perimeter of Gurnee Mall with lots of shopping and dining options and dining.

Not an Embassy Suites, but it will do.

Comfortable, no frills hotel stay. View of a freeway. Pictures are not accurate, but no real complaints other than kids running through the hallway at night. Very basic TV service. Hot breakfast, convenient access to mall.
