The dinner was excellent, freshly cooked, hot and delicious. Breakfast, as always in hotels, gluten free is not great, toast is always the small sliced version! You can get normal size slices! The first room we were given was far too noisy due to the broken kitchen extractor fan! When we complained it was obvious we weren’t the first to ask for a move! Fix the fan! Staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel,is ideally located for getting around without needing the car if you want to stay central. Would definitely book again

Stayed at Copthorne several times. Last time said it was great but looked a bit tired. Not now ! Very clean, lovely airy room decor re done very tasteful. Didn’t have breakfast but sure it would be up to it’s usual standard of good.

The hotel is very clean and each member of staff throughout were superb. Courteous, attentive and looked professional. The bar area is really nice with a good selection of drinks. The food in the evening I had fish and chips. It wasn’t the best and the cooked breakfast was a 3/5. However there was a very good range of food in the evening and breakfast options. This is just my opinion and it shouldn’t take away from your decision to stay as the cleanliness, staff and location were all spot on. Room is spacious and has everything you need although a little tired in decor and the fridge a little noises but unplugs of your a light sleeper like me. For value for money this hotel would be 10/10 and it really is made by a very good team of employees throughout.

The reason I have given a low score is that I ordered and paid for 3 breakfasts - but decide after using 1 of then to cancel the two breakfasts and most of hot food was cold - i just thought it was worth paying £11 . I asked for a refund and was told that was ok but they could not refund me the amount of £22 themselves but the Manager would on do it. On check out I mentioned it again and was told the same thing , that the Manager would issue a refund to the card provided - I have yet to receive a refund and not heard anything - so that is disappointing - so my low score is due to this only -
