I love staying here; so quiet, feels like home and the staff are SO kind! The only poor rating I gave was for eco-friendliness. I would have loved paper cups in lobby for water, not plastic. Also; no plastic bottles of water. Provide paper cups and place to refill water-bottles!

The property is in the center of Santa Fe. An easy walk to all major points of interest in town and easy freeway access to see sites out of town. Our only request would be 2 easy chairs for evening relaxation after a day out.

Hotel Chimayo is in a great Santa Fe location, 1/2 block off the main square. Rooms are quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. Keurg in mini fridge in room. Coffee, fruits and snacks in the main lobby. The attached restaurant and bar has great food. All hotel staff was friendly, polite and helpful.

Perfect for Families Though not a large chain resort, Hotel Chimayó exceeded our expectations in accommodating families. The suites are spacious, warm, and beautifully decorated with local artisan touches that added cultural richness to our stay. We had plenty of room to spread out, and the peaceful ambiance made it easy for everyone — kids included — to truly relax. Ideal Location The location couldn’t be better. Just steps from the historic Plaza, we were able to walk to museums, local shops, and restaurants — a huge bonus with young kids. It allowed us to explore the town freely without needing a car for every outing. The nearby cathedral and artisan markets provided a culturally enriching experience that even our little ones enjoyed. A True Santa Fe Experience What makes Chimayó stand out is its authentic design and atmosphere. A very nice stay in Santa Fe. There is underground parking. The room is a nice size and the bed very comfortable. There is dining and a bar on the property. Very walkable to anywhere around the square. We would stay here again.

Beautiful unique hotel with very fair rates. The patio area by the front door and the lobby area really gives you a feel for the vibes of Santa Fe. Absolutely gorgeous. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and provided a map of the area with highlights. We didn't try it but there is a restaurant and a bar onsite. In the morning there's coffee and tea as well as fruit and small snacks. The rooms are located off of a charming outdoor hall. Our room was on the first floor. It consisted of a comfortable living room area, large bedroom, and small bathroom. There was a fireplace which we did not use but I can imagine that would be wonderful in the winter months. The staff will come before 10pm to set the fireplace. We also didn't use but they have a deal with Hotel Loretto and one other hotel in the area to use their pool and spa facilities. The room is a bit dated but was clean and more than ample for our four nights. The fan is a little on the louder side if you are a very light sleeper. Otherwise the area was quiet, even on the first floor. A small parking lot for guests is located below the hotel and is very convenient for your stay although it does fill up in the evening. Very walkable area about one block from the main plaza with galleries, shops, and restaurants all in easy distance.

Their climate control is very limited. Either the whole place can be heated, or the whole place can be cooled. While I was there, they had decided to do neither. If one finds their room to be cold, which I did, you can ask for someone to come build a fire in the fireplace...if you reserved a room with a fireplace. Their algorithm for deciding what to turn on seems to have no relationship to ambient temperatures in Santa Fe.

This is a great location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was big and the space was really nice. My only complaint is that they added some kind of amenities fee after check out that no one told us about. They said it was because we booked through Expedia and that going direct avoids the fee, so check first.
