Plenty of options to walk to for food and drinks. Relatively affordable considering it’s downtown Chicago. Room was on the small side, beds weren’t very comfortable and I highly recommend bringing your own pillow as the pillows felt like some some stuffed two t-shirts in a pillow case, paper thin. All in all not horrible if you are looking for a relatively affordable stay in Downtown Chicago

After Checkout, we exited the property to wait for our cab. A homeless man approached us and became belligerent when we would give him any money. To avoid the situation, I attempted to go back into the hotel to wait for our ride. The revolving doors were not working and the other door required my room key to get back in which I no longer had. I knocked on the door for the receptionist to let us back in to de-escalate the situation but to my surprise, the receptionist motioned for me to use my room key. Lady what key??!!!. You took it. Extremely unimpressed!

I wasn’t able to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. When I arrived from the airport, tired and looking forward to my room, a drink & dinner I was told they had No Reservation for me, that HOTELS.com had canceled it. And to make matters worse they were totally booked. Every hotel in the area was booked. 3 hours later with the help of other folks in the hotel bar, I was able to get a room. Not my ideal location and 3 times as much as I wanted to spend but you do what you must when you’re desperate. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS OR SAY A GOOD THING ABOUT HOTELS.com THATS HOW MY STAY STARTED…

We happen to stay during a housekeeping strike which is fine, but the picketing, chants and drums were quite loud. Great property though and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Chicago short stay

Great location. Easily accessible to public transport and most tourist activities were walkable. Our only complaint is the lack of lighting in the room. If you don’t open the window shade the room is a little dark.
