We really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Bay. The staff were so kind and efficient, we were very pleased. Usually am nervous with all-inclusive food options but we were very happy with the variety and taste every day! More of a quiet resort, less nightlife and entertainment but perfect for resting and relaxing. Beach looks exactly like the photos, well-kept and clean, clear water. Some seaweed and rocks like any other beach. So many lounge chairs and hammocks, no need to wake up early to reserve chairs. Bar on the beach was perfect, yummy drinks and friendly staff. Did not use the pool/ swim-up bar (on the smaller side) plus we are beach people! Sunsets are a dream! Weather in October was great despite it falling in the hurricane season months. Excursions are available to book at the front desk for extra charge, variety of options. Overall, very happy with Sugar Bay for a restful and relaxing vacation, we will be back!

Sugar bay had delectable food options in the buffet, even better than their specialty restaurants on site. I cannot compliment the staff enough, as everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous. Somehow they even remembered our names! I would recommend sugar bay to all of my family and friends, and would definitely return in the future!

Ac was not working in room 322. Bathroom was smelling like old urine. 2 staff members at colins bar and the reefs bar were rude and unfriendly. They were women. Also very limited pool facilities. Did not get a space at the pool side as many of the white people claimed all the chairs Dinner and lunch was exceptional where i did not have to even consider the specialty restaurants.

I had an amazing experience at Sugar Bay Barbados! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they truly made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The entire property was spotless and beautifully maintained, with great attention to cleanliness everywhere. There was always something fun to do, from relaxing by the pool to joining the different activities organized throughout the day. The location is also perfect — just steps from a beautiful beach and only a short drive from the airport, which made everything super convenient. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I’d definitely recommend Sugar Bay to anyone visiting Barbados!

Sugar Bay is a wonderful place, and its small, boutique-style resort certainly makes one feel right at home. The staff is truly amazing and goes above and beyond for their guests. The rooms are very clean, and the food was delightful. We are hoping to book another stay there next year.

I recently stayed at this resort and overall, it was an okay experience. The property itself could definitely use a facelift — it’s not particularly luxurious and shows some wear and tear. That said, the staff were truly outstanding: friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The food options were impressive with a good variety, and the drinks were surprisingly strong — definitely not the usual watered-down resort cocktails. If you're looking for top-tier accommodations, this might not be it, but the service and food help make up for it
