Amazing location! We landed, took a taxi to this hotel with others and paid $13, went to the hotel. Next day, we walked to the ferry dock (literally less than a 5 minute walk), and went to Moorea! Best location.

Small rooms, but very efficient and clean. Very nice staff who took care of scheduling our taxi for the early trip to the airport. Convenient location, but a bit noisy. There is a rooftop bar a block away and you can hear the partying till the early morning hours. Probably not a problem if you are on the other side of the hotel.

The area is in the center of downtown around all the exciting energy. However, we were awoken each night at 4 am To non-stop rooster coc k-a-doodle-doos that went on for over an hour!! Insanity. Their job is to wake you up and Wake up we certainly did

We missed a flight and had to come 2 days later, even though we could not get a refund on that short of a notice they graciously allowed us to switch days which was kind of them. Great hotel to stay at near the ferry, it is only a 5 minute walk to get to the ferry (just across the street). The room as very cold A/C which is nice. The rooms are a bit on the small side but very modern, new and clean. It is also a few minutes walk to the main outdoor market in Tahiti which is very convenient.

Place was very nice, clean, and friendly/helpful staff. The rooms are very small, and do not open your window AT ALL if you are on a lower floor, it will be filled with diesel exhaust fumes from the road below and make you sick.

The rooms are nearly brand new and are very clean. The staff is pleasant. The only problem we had with the room was the shower drain backed up, filling the shower with water. We were offered a room change to resolve. The hotel is right near the ocean, downtown which makes everything walkable, but if you bring a car there is little parking and traffic is very very heavy. Almost every car is a manual transmission, so if you rent a car and aren't comfortable driving a stick shift, you may struggle to navigate the streets. They do offer off-site parking for about $35 USD, but it is several blocks up the road and you can only enter from one side of the street. Some people have complained about noise. We could hear karaoke and Street traffic, but it wasn't horribly loud and we were able to sleep just fine. If you taxi in and don't plan to park or drive, this is an ideal location. If you are driving and are adventurous, you'll be just fine. But if you want to drive and aren't comfortable navigating a busy city, you may want to stay in a more rural area. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as there are dining options nearby that offer a greater variety for a better price, but they do offer a breakfast if you are looking for that, I believe for about $35 USD per person.

We just stayed at Mai Tai Express for a few hours because we had a very late flight out but our original hotel could not extend our stay and we just needed a place to be able to rest and shower. It was the perfect respite for those few hours.

This is a decent property if you are looking to stay for an early ferry ride to Moorea. We were 2 people staying with 2 suitcases and the room was a bit cramped. Great for just overnight stay. It is right by the ferry port and next to many stores and restaurants. I would give it a 4 out of 5 because of the size of the room.
