This is a charming hotel in a great location just off the main square in Santa Fe and within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and galleries. It is great for a romantic weekend getaway, especially with the in-room fireplace which the hotel staff will light for you upon request.

This is an excellent hotel. Older, but excellent beds, linens, service and very clean and comfortable. Like a quaint cabin in the middle of all the santa fe happenings. Walk to restaurants and shops. Excellent stay

Property is clean and kept up. It is an older property so plan on moving your luggage up stairs. Its located downtown and extremely convenient to the plaza & shopping Staff is nice, there is underground parking and rooms are cozy

The fire service was not as available as noted as the wait time was about an hour and we decided to go out and get dessert just as the service person showed up. Then upon return about 20 minutes later, the second request went unanswered for almost another hour so we gave up and cancelled. An unfortunate disappointment. The rooms were nice and quiet and that was pleasant.

The hotel is clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic. Our ground floor room looked out onto a sidewalk and road so we didn't open drapes. Very little natural light but we weren't there much so not a big deal. They could put a couple of chairs in the room.

Hotel Chimayo is in a lovely vacation. I had a very nice room. The sitting room furniture isn't very comfortable, but there was plenty of it. My primary complaint is that there was little privacy for me. There was work being done to the exterior of the building and there were guys literally at my door most of the day, so I never was able to open the drapes. The area surrounding the hotel is terrific. Lots of shops, restaurants and museums. I had a lovely stay overall. I felt that it would have been nice for the hotel to notify guests before their stay of the construction.

This hotel is steps from the Plaza with an underground parking garage. Perfect location. However, we are elderly and had to walk up two flights of stairs outside to get to our room. If I had known that the elevator doesn’t go to the rooms, I would have asked for a room on the first floor. Carrying all our luggage up from the garage and up two floors on precarious steps was so inconvenient. The room was very nice and comfortable, and we enjoyed the bar for a beer or a margarita.
