Beautiful Victorian hotel in the heart of downtown. Great German bakery right across the street and an eclectic mix of shops, cafes and restaurants. Free parking onsite. Room was nice, mixing elements of old and new. Very friendly service, even at a very late arrival time.

The Grand Hotel is lovely and the staff are just awesome! The hotel itself could do with some upgrades as it’s certainly showing its age. The tiles on the bathroom floor in the room in which I stayed were starting to pop up and could become a tripping hazard. Lack of a restaurant was a pain too but a short walk up the street was Freska with a great breakfast selection.
Gorgeous hotel, perfect for weddings I think. Very clean. Lovely room. Friendly reception when I arrived. A few pointers: have someone at the desk in the morning, make it easy for guest to get into the hotel from the back parking lot instead of trekking through snow and ice with bags over the sidewalk to the fronti of the hotel. Put a mirror near an outlet so blowdrying hair is possible, and since theres no restaurant on site, create a partnership with coffee shop, bakery, or restaurant so guests have a go to place to get meals instead if still having to sort through restaurant lists and drive again after a long trip.
Overall - cool place for a romantic getaway or event, not so much for business travel.
