The Firefly Springhouse

Private cabin, with bath, located in a quiet country setting, close to town and easy access to two Interstate highways. Comfy queen bed, 400 ct sheets. Climate control with state of the art Trane system. Mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker are included. High speed wireless internet and basic cable TV. All varieties of people are welcome here.
The space
Enjoy this fully renovated private studio sized cabin. Rustic charm and modern conveniences await you. Relax on the patio, walk the grounds, enjoy the sounds of trickling waters of two lily ponds. Hike to the hilltop and see for miles around.
You're just minutes from downtown, or the interstate.

In addition to accommodations, guests have access to a patio, the yards adjacent to the patio, and with guidance, a path to the top of the hill behind the house.

Because this a family farm that starts early, we cannot have check ins after 10pm.

Nice room. Bathroom is cold (Dec) as the heat is across the spaces and the exhaust fan draws in cold air. Also, the large window makes the room colder. Uneven stepping up to cabin, so may not be for some.Would use again in warmer months.

What a great place to stay! It is such a cute space, and the owners were wonderful! If you love a farm there are plenty of chickens, goats and even a couple of peacocks! We will definitely be back! It was a perfect for our last minute quick getaway!

Great place for a night at the theater

This was an excellent place for on overnight stay near Staunton. The cottage was neat and efficiently laid out, and the free ranging chickens were a delight. Far enough away from downtown Staunton that you felt like you were in the country but close enough to get to the theater in less than ten minutes.

Delightful, cozy overnight!

Extremely comfortable & charming place to stay. Great value for an overnight. Nice bed, great shower, & helpful to have coffeemaker/fridge. Very convenient to downtown & highway. Hosts Katie & Jeremy were kind & responsive. I loved the peaceful, pastoral setting looking out from the cabin porch at the goats & chickens, and enjoyed the walk up the hill to a lovely view of surrounding farmland. Meeting Marley the super-pig was another highlight! Obviously not the place to stay if you don't like animals roaming around, but it was QUIET & rejuvenating for me. Will happily stay again on my next road trip through the area.

Convenient and cozy

I used the spring house as base for a solo adventure in the Shenandoah valley. Was incredibly convenient to the highway and grocery stores and restaurants. It was comfortable and I felt safe as a solo traveler.

Perfect if you like farm living...chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, guineas, cats and dogssmall ..but clean...quiet. Only had a kitchenette...great if you don't want to cook. Hosts were very friendly
