My experience was very bad

This hotel should not be included in HOLIDAYS INN chain. sorry to say I found it very below the standard. I regreted staying there. I mentioned to person at counter. She said I cannot do anything. Hotel is renovating so you have to bear with it. I will highly recommend do not go this hotel. Very bad experience. Furniture including bed, sofa and chair were broken and very old. Walls were even dirty. Dirty carpet. It is up to Holiday inn if they want to associate with it. No microwave. What it appear in photos it was totally different. Not even 2 star hotel

Check on was excellent, room nice but wow the noise started at 11pm. People yelling, banging on walls, etc. Finally stopped around 2:45 am after I heard someone knocking on a door down the hall (hopefully someone telling them to cease and desist). Not an enjoyable stay.

Hotel undergoing significant renovations.

The hotel is a bit isolated in a corporate neighbourhood. We were glad of the on-site restaurant, which had both excellent service and excellent food. Our stay was fine, though we had not anticipated the construction work in the building. Renovations are important, but we arrived with plans to do some late afternoon work in our room. The very loud extended noise just a couple of feet down the hall made work focus difficult.

After booking I received a message saying there was construction for the pool and gym, I booked thinking I was going to go in the pool after my 11 hour drive. There was no mention about this on the website. I had picked this hotel and spent the extra money to stay here and there are no services. It should not be as expensive as it is. Also, on our second day our power went out in our room causing us to have to switch to 3 different rooms because either the room stunk of smoke, fan did not work, the room was disgusting and/or the sheets were not clean. Our trip was going very well and I am disappointed. For our first time in Canada we will not be coming back to this location.
