Experience Ostuni from an authentic perspective on a guided MTB or e-bike tour through the famous Piana degli Ulivi Monumentali. A 3–4 hour experience among iconic landscapes, hidden corners of the Ostuni marina, and historical sites that tell the storey of the identity of the red soil of Puglia.
Departure is from Via Conte Tancredi, 10. After a short ride through the “white city”, with glimpses of the famous city walls, you will immerse yourself in the white sheep tracks that lead to the countryside. Cycling along ancient paths and past old rock settlements, you will enter the heart of a unique territory: here the gigantic, twisted trunks of centuries-old olive trees seem sculpted by time and tell of centuries of history and tradition.
The route alternates between secondary roads and scenic stretches until it approaches the sea. Along the way, your local guide will help you read the landscape: the geometry of the olive groves, the farms, the signs of rural life, and the hidden details that often escape those who visit the area only by car. There will be stops to observe and photograph the most evocative spots — and to “embrace” some of the monumental olive trees, true symbols of the area.
During the excursion, you'll also have the chance to visit some farms and a fascinating underground oil mill, a subterranean place linked to traditional oil production, where you can feel history before you even see it. Your tour concludes back at the original departure point.
Bike (muscular or electric), helmet and guide are included. Upon request, you can add an oil tasting or lunch at a farmhouse.
