Take part in one of Sal Island’s most exciting experiences and observe lemon sharks in its natural habitat. After picking up at your hotel or accommodation, head to the famous Bay of Sharks, located on the eastern coast of the island. Upon arrival, accompanied by an experienced local Guide, you will be able to walk in the shallow waters of the bay and observe the juvenile lemon sharks that use this area as a natural nursery. During the experience, you will learn more about the behaviour of these fascinating animals, their life cycle and their importance for the local marine ecosystem. Juvenile lemon sharks are harmless to humans and can be observed safely in their natural environment. Enjoy approximately 40 minutes in Shark Bay to observe, photograph and experience a unique encounter with wildlife before comfortably returning to your accommodation.
