After departing, you will make your way to Aix en Provence. Throughout this journey you will see Mount Saint Victoire, which was the inspiration for many of Paul Cézanne’s works.
Aix en Provence is a little college town in southern France, but you don’t have to be a student to enjoy your time there !
The provincial area is the perfect getaway from the bustling city. You will be free to walk around the peaceful gardens, shop at local markets, or admire the old town. The picturesque boulevard the “Cours Mirabeau” is perfect for a lovely stroll and to get lunch.
Provence is home to winegrowers who bear the imprint of the soil and make wines that truly reflect the terroir.
You will enjoy the Provencal “art de vivre” lifestyle, and will also visit the Chateau Sainte Roseline, which is home to more than one point of interest. The estate is big, and is home to the well-known Cotes de Provence wine producer whose wines are both appreciated locally as well as exported. This area is also a historic site, being close to the Roman chapel Ste. Roseline which was built in the 12th century.
