What you can expect

Get in the air-conditioned minivan at your hotel and then drive from Hurghada to Luxor. Arrive at your destination and visit Karnak Temple, which is dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, representing the Theban Triad. Learn about the history from your guide.

Next, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, board a felucca to enjoy a sailing trip on a traditional wooden boat. After this, come to the West Bank of Luxor and visit the Valley of the Kings. See 3 tombs, including the Tomb of Tutankhamun. View the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Marvel at the 3 massive terraces that rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. A short while later, proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, to see the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Finally, return to your hotel in Hurghada.
